Jessica Simpson continues to make headlines for the 100 pounds she dropped in 2019. After tipping the scales at close to 300 pounds while expecting third baby Birdie Mae, the 43-year-old actress and singer got strict to drop the weight, doing so successfully.

Slimming down long before celebrities were making headlines for using weight loss drug Ozempic, Jessica shed the pounds the old-fashioned way, lowering her calorie intake and upping the amount of energy she was burning. Trainer Harley Pasternak opened up to reveal exactly what his client ate in 2019, and now fans know all the details.

Jessica Simpson Followed A Strict Diet To Lose 100 Pounds In 2019

Alongside walking up to 10,000 steps per day, Jessica paid careful attention to what she was eating.

β€œShe would eat one whole egg and three egg whites for breakfast, scrambled with a bowl of blackberries. For lunch she would have a salad with grilled chicken and grilled fish with salad and vegetables for dinner. As for snacks, she would have almonds and sometimes green beans with Parmesan cheese on top. She was very disciplined,” Harley told Hollywood Life.

Jessica did, however, have a trick up her sleeve. Substituting carbs for vegetables, she still packed in tasteful meals with less calories.

Cauliflower Rice Is A Favorite

Continuing, Harley dished: "The popularity of cauliflower rice has become bigger in the last three, four years. It is a way to reduce the starch in your diet. So that is the popular thing. I think that was big for Keto.”

While Jessica has recently made headlines as fans deem her too skinny on Instagram, she has opened up to reveal that she does treat herself. Stating that she's thrown out her scales and doesn't even have a clue what she weighs, the clothing designer divulged a love of corn dogs and mac and cheese as she got candid about her post-weight loss diet.

Jessica Simpson Likes Her Burgers

In 2010, she shared: "I'm a healthy girl. I work out. I box. I try to eat right. I still like my corn dogs, my burgers and my onion rings. I can't help it. Just as long as I feel good about myself and if I feel healthy, I feel beautiful." Those same corn dogs got mentioned after the blonde had whittled down.

"I don't care how harsh the criticism is, you're not going to take me down," Jessica shared in the earlier days. "I'm going to get back up and fight. I'm not going to let anybody's opinions destroy me."

Fans Think She's Way Too Thin

A quick look at the Instagram comments left to Jessica's photos over 2023 and 2024 shows that fans do seem to think that she's taken the weight loss too far. Some have been alleging that the mom of three has turned to Ozempic. Jessica has remained silent over the matter.
