Will Larsa Pippen & Marcus Jordan Recover From This Split?
Sources close to Pippen and Marcus' relationship situation have disclosed that the pair endured a tumultuous romance and ultimately concluded it was time to part ways.
However, they pointed out that it was difficult to conclusively rule out any future reconciliation given the couple's history of being on-again-off-again.
Notably, Pippen and Marcus have avoided all forms of communication since the split, and both are focused on pursuing their individual paths per TMZ.
They initially sparked breakup rumors by deleting all pictures of each other from their social media accounts and unfollowing each other. Things got even more interesting when The Blast observed Pippen's cryptic Instagram posts.
Among them was a thought-provoking poll posed to her followers on her Instagram Story: "Should your friends unfollow your ex?" Additionally, she uploaded a poignant video featuring Morgan Freeman, emphasizing the importance of trusting one's "inner voice."
It was then confirmed on February 12 that Pippen and Marcus had put their relationship on hold. However, they reconciled just days later during a Valentine's Day date in Miami, where Pippen wore a sizable diamond ring on her ring finger.
Pippen Had No Problem Marking Her Territory
Appearing in the news for the dramatic is nothing new to Pippen, who made headlines last November for her feud with "The Real Housewives of Miami" co-star Julia Lemigova.
The drama began during the Las Vegas BravoCon event when Lemigova approached Marcus and asked him to take a few photos.
While some attendees saw nothing unusual with the request, Pippen interpreted it differently, leading to tension and simmering resentment behind the scenes.
Insiders suggested that the 49-year-old implied Lemigova's request had undertones of seduction, especially since her beau's phone was used to capture the pictures. Things came to a head when an unaware Lemigova native requested the photos taken by Marcus.
This prompted other cast members to intervene and inform the 51-year-old about Pippen's concerns, resulting in a chilly standoff between the two women.
Lemigova's reluctance to defend herself indicated her frustration with Pippen's jealousy, hinting that she perceived Pippen's actions as an attempt to discredit her character.
Marcus and Pippen's Romance Was Built On Friendship
Before the standoff between the reality stars began, Pippen was in the clouds with her love for Marcus. In fact, she did nothing but rave about her love life when she appeared on an episode of "Watch What Happens Live!" in October.
The conversation arose when host Gibson Johns highlighted her radiant happiness since she and Marcus became an item. Sharing the secret to their relationship, Pippen explained:
"Probably because we were such good friends beforehand. And I think when you're already friends before, it turns into more. We already know each other, we already know what we like [and] what we don't like about each other. So, you already know what you signed up for from the very beginning."
It also helped that Pippen and Marcus could effortlessly talk about various topics, including basketball, and have shared interests and culinary preferences.
Michael Jordan Was Not A Fan Of The Romance
Despite Pippen's flowery words about her affair with Marcus, the controversial connection between her ex-husband, Scottie Pippen and Marcus' father, Michael Jordan, never went away.
The one-time basketball teammates notably moved from being best friends to becoming embroiled in a feud that is still ongoing.
That beef was top of mind when Michael was cornered by paparazzi in July 2023 and asked his thoughts about his son's relationship with the mother-of-four.
The businessman offered an emphatic "No!" when pressed by a photographer about his approval of the relationship.
He maintained his stance by shaking his head when asked again by the photographer.
Pippen Painted A Different Picture About The Family's Approval
The disapproving response directly contradicts the narrative Pippen spun when she appeared on Tamron Hall's eponymous show months before.
During that time, she not only asserted that the Pippen-Jordan families celebrated "holidays together" and were "in a great place," she also gushed:
"It's not about my parents, his parents. They're all happy. Our whole family's fine."
The University of Illinois graduate then firmly added that Michael was not "interfering" or attempting to disrupt their relationship when Hall asked if she and her on-off boyfriend had his father's approval.
