Fans are demanding answers from Victoria Justice amid the recent allegations and accusations made against Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider.
Dan Schneider, specifically, has been accused of creating a toxic work environment in the Nickelodeon studio, in addition to verbally abusing the cast and crew, favoring "white kids", and being s-xist.
The newly released docuseries ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’, which is now streaming on MAX, took viewers further into the "dark side" of Nickelodeon and featured various former actors and actresses telling their stories.
Victoria Justice Noticeably Absent From 'Quiet On Set'
Some of the former Nickelodeon stars who spoke out in the docuseries included 'All That' stars Kyle Sullivan, Bryan Hearne, Giovonnie Samuels, and Drake Bell. However, there were some noticeably absent appearances including Ariana Grande, Josh Peck, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Victoria Justice.
Victoria Justice has not publicly accused Dan Schneider of any abuse, however, there have been rumors that she was one of the many stars whom the former Nickelodeon producer s-xualized.
But fans now want to hear from the actress.
Victoria Justice Remains Silent On Nickelodeon Accusations
The former Nickelodeon actress has yet to comment on the recent allegations made against Dan Schneider and the network -- with some even accusing Victoria of still "defending" the former producer.
"It’s absolutely sad and heartbreaking she still defends and follows this man," one fan commented on her most recent social media post, adding, "Seriously how could you Victoria."
Another said, "She still supports him!! SHE THINKS HE COULD STILL BOOST HER CAREER."
"How much money did they give u to keep your mouth shut?" one of her followers wrote.
This comes as many realized Victoria still follows Dan Schneider on Instagram.
Fans Question Where Victoria Justice Stands?
The comments did not stop there, as many continued to question where Victoria Justice stands.
"So you still support Dan Schneider orrrrr?" one fan asked as another expressed, "Why do u still follow Dan Schneider? And the others members of cast too, terrified."
"Why do you still support Dan wtf !!" another commented.
As you know, many former Nickelodeon producers and actors have accused former producer Dan Schneider of creating a toxic work environment, verbal abuse, s-xism, racism, among other things. So many find it odd that Victoria is still following Dan Schneider on Instagram.
Dan Schneider Apologizes For Alleged Behavior Following Docuseries
Dan Schneider issued a statement, which was shown in the docuseries:
“Everything that happened on the shows I ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults. All stories, dialogue, costumes and makeup were fully approved by network executives on two coasts.”
After "watching [the docuseries] over the past two nights," Schneider admitted that "facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret, I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
He went on to tell BooG!E, who played T-Bo on the hit series, ‘iCarly’, “A standard and practices group read and ultimately approved every script, and programming executives reviewed and approved all episodes. In addition, every day on every set, there were always parents and caregivers and their friends watching us rehearse and film.”
Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon Part Ways
In the 2000's, Nickelodeon was competing with Disney Channel, releasing several iconic shows such as 'Drake & Josh', 'iCarly', 'Victorious', and 'Zoey 101'.
"His style had a bit of edge in it," culture writer Scaachi Koul said in the documentary. "It also really pushed the boundaries of sexualizing young girls."
These statements come after the various allegations and controversies made against Dan Schneider, which include claims of abusive behavior and inappropriate conduct, particularly involving young actors who worked on his shows.
Nickelodeon Investigate Dan Schneider
Alexa Nikolas from 'Zoey 101' recalled a scene where she had trouble opening up a goo pop, which then resulted in a clear, greenish goo being squirted onto Jamie Lynn Spears' face, which several of the men allegedly referred to as a "c-m shot," per Nikolas.
When 'Sam & Cat' was airing, Nickelodeon launched an investigation into Schneider. After the #MeToo movement, Nickelodeon launched a second internal investigation into Schneider which ultimately ended with the network paying him $7 million to end their contract.
Schneider left Nickelodeon in 2018.
