Jamie Lynn Spears

Jamie Lynn Spears is an American actress and singer. She is the younger sister of pop star Britney Spears.

She is best known for playing Zoey Brooks on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom “Zoey 101” (2005–2008) and its sequel film “Zoey 102” (2023). She also played Noreen Fitzgibbons in the Netflix romantic drama series “Sweet Magnolias.”

Jamie Lynn Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Her older siblings are Bryan and Britney. She attended Parklane Academy in McComb, where she was a cheerleader, and point guard of the basketball team.

Spears studied with tutors while filming “Zoey 101” in Los Angeles. She finished her education via online correspondence and received her GED in February 2008 through Tangipahoa Parish School System Adult Education Center.

In 2007, Spears became pregnant at the age of 15. She took a hiatus from “Zoey 101” to focus on her pregnancy and gave birth to her daughter, Maddie, in 2008. After Maddie's birth, Spears retreated from Hollywood life in order to raise her daughter in private.

In 2020, Spears joined the cast of the Netflix series “Sweet Magnolias.” The show is a romantic drama about three friends who live in a small town in South Carolina. Spears plays Noreen Fitzgibbons, a young mother who is trying to rebuild her life after a difficult divorce.
