During her appearance on Louis Theroux's podcast, Stone opened up about a time she claimed a producer asked her to sleep with a co-star.

Narrating the incident, the 66-year-old mentioned that it occurred on the set of "Sliver," a 1993 American erotic thriller based on the Ira Levin novel of the same name.

At the time, her co-star, William Baldwin, better known by the nickname Billy, was reportedly performing poorly during filming. For this reason, film producer Robert Evans believed the issue could be resolved if Stone slept with the actor.

"[Evans] called me to his office. He had these very low seventies, eighties couches, so I'm essentially sitting on the floor when I should have been on set," Stone said, per the Daily Mail.

She added, "And he's running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin's performance would get better."

According to the actress, Evans felt that s-- would generate on-screen "chemistry" between her and Billy and then "save the movie."

She went on to say Evans blamed her instead of Billing, claiming that he had remarked that "the real problem with the movie" lay with her.

As for his reason, Stone said Evans blamed it on her being an "uptight" person and "so not like a real actress who could just f--- [Billy] and get things back on track."

Evans' demand didn't sit well with Stone. She recalled that before filming began, she had provided him and the showrunners with a list of actors suitable for Baldwin's role as Zeke Hawkins. Despite it being part of her contract, they disregarded her suggestion.

"I didn't have to f--- Michael Douglas. Michael could come to work and know how to hit those marks, and do that line, and rehearse and show up," Stone said, referencing her co-star in "Basic Instinct."

"Now, all of a sudden, I'm in the 'I have to f--- people' business."

Stone discussed the incident earlier in her 2021 memoir, "The Beauty of Living Twice."

At the time, she expressed that all she could dwell on following Evans' request was Billy's consistent underperformance from the outset, noting that he "couldn't get one whole scene out in the test."

"Now you think if I f--- him, he will become a fine actor? Nobody's that good in bed," read an excerpt from the book. "I felt they could have just hired a co-star with talent, someone who could deliver a scene and remember his lines.

It read further, "I also felt they could f--- him themselves and leave me out of it. It was my job to act, and I said so."

According to Stone, her response made her to be considered as "difficult" by Evans and the showrunners. Ultimately, Sliver ended up garnering $280 million at the box office after its release, although this was deemed below the initial expectations.
