Hilary Duff's Husband '10/10 Recommend' Vasectomy Amid Expecting 4th Child

Hilary Duff and her husband, Matthew Koma, seemingly have no plans to welcome a fifth child, as he has undergone a vasectomy. 

The actress's support for her husband getting the procedure was depicted in a hilarious document that Koma shared with his fans via social media. The decision to undergo the permanent male contraception comes amid Duff's fourth pregnancy.

Fans got a glimpse into the lives of Duff and Koma when the latter announced that he was undergoing a vasectomy on Monday. 

Koma started the day by posting a selfie featuring him in a car's passenger seat wearing a blue-striped round-neck shirt, dark sunglasses, and a cap.

"It's vasectomy day!!!" he excitedly wrote across the image before posting a second snap that showed he had ditched his initial outfit for a "Vasectomy fit check."

While he kept the dark shades, Koma threw on a red Budweiser shirt, a matching trucker hat, high-waisted shorts, and white slides.

Upon arriving for his procedure, he shared reels of celebrities, such as Muhammad Ali, the Beatles, and the Three Stooges, who supposedly had vasectomies at the exact location.

Jokingly, after mentioning that the Three Stooges had their surgery in the same chair as him, Koma added, "They died after."

In the next clip uploaded to his Instagram Stories, the DJ is heard talking to a doctor who appeared to be examining him. "Have you ever worked on anything this small before?" he playfully inquired, prompting the doctor to reply, "No, it's actually not small."

He then informed his followers that he was administered Valium, which made him concerned about getting a "bone bone."

After apparently undergoing the surgery, the father of two shared a selfie of himself in a hospital gown and hair net, commenting, "It's honestly not bad at all." He further noted that it was indeed a "better" experience than going to the dentist.

The singer-songwriter reinforced that view when he showed himself giving a thumbs up in a mirror selfie alongside the words, "10/10 would recommend." In yet another photo, Koma showed his wife driving him home after the procedure, captioning it, "Hot nurse."

He then added, "Also very high, and I've never taken a drug in my life. This is cool."

As previously mentioned, Duff is pregnant with her fourth child, her third with Koma, as she shares a son with her first husband, Mike Comrie.

The "Younger" star broke the news in December 2023 with a photo of her family Christmas card on Instagram. The card showcased her children and husband striking funny poses while she placed one hand on her bump. 

"Surprise Surprise!" she captioned the image, which came with another message on the back of the card. It read: "Buckle up buttercups, we're adding one more to this crazy bunch!"

Fans quickly responded in the comments section, with one fan writing, "Aw!!! Congratulations!!! I hope you are feeling well." 

A second Instagram user humorously commented, "Congratulations!!! I'm one of four siblings… I wish you all luck, but also know- it's so fun having a built-in friend group!" while a third claimed, "I knew she was going to have another! I felt it! Congratulations!"

The pregnancy news was not the only thing Duff's fans celebrated last year. As reported by The Blast, the Teen Choice Awards recipient likely got them swooning when she marked the fourth anniversary of her proposal.

For the big day, she shared the image that she and Koma used to announce their engagement in 2019, two years after they started dating. In the picture, Duff beamed with joy while flaunting the massive sparkler her beau had placed on her ring finger at the time. 

Above the pic, which she reposted from her man's Instagram Story, the "How I Met Your Father" actress told the world, "I would say yes again and again."

Even though Duff and Koma met in 2013, Duff had no idea they would ever be romantically involved. Their relationship began to take shape through their work on Duff's 2015 studio album, "Breathe In. Breathe Out." 

As the 36-year-old recalled:

"And then we started talking about music, things started sparking, and he was being funny enough, not flirtatious, but funny enough to where we started creating a banter and a nice friendship right off the bat."

The lovebirds were then spotted locking lips during their Costa Rica getaway in 2017 and later at the SAG Awards pre-party, where they made their first red carpet debut. 

Duff and Koma welcomed their first child, daughter Banks Violet, on October 25, 2018. After the birth of Banks, the couple became engaged, and by December of the same year, they got married. 

They then welcomed their second child, daughter Mae James, on March 24, 2021, and have been growing stronger ever since.
