Rachel Leviss has publicly slammed her former boss Lisa Vanderpump for calling her revenge porn lawsuit "ridiculous"
Last month, Leviss shocked the world when she launched a bombshell lawsuit against her former co-stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, accusing them of invasion of privacy and revenge porn.
Rachel Leviss Says Lisa Vanderpump's Remark Is 'Very Disappointing'
Earlier this month, Vanderpump was stopped by the paparazzi and asked what she thought of Leviss' lawsuit against her co-stars. "That's ridiculous," the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star said before adding:
"I think if you don't want somebody to share your porn then don't send it to your best friend's boyfriend."
Leviss has now poured out her heart about Vanderpump in the latest episode of her "Rachel Goes Rogue" podcast titled "actuaLISAtion."
The television personality revealed that when she heard Vanderpump refer to her lawsuit as "ridiculous," she concluded that she didn't take the time to read it.
"It's like, uh no, Lisa, actually that's not it at all. Immediately, I was like, oh, she didn't read the brief," Leviss said before adding, "But then you know, insiders told me like, oh, no, she knows exactly what she's doing. She's saying this statement for the press to pick up this certain story."
Addressing her former SUR boss' misconception about the alleged porn, Leviss said, "Obviously, you guys know, the lawsuit
is not about me sending a video. This video was recorded. It was a FaceTime video that I did not know was being recorded, and I wasn't aware that this video existed until it was sent to me."
Although the 29-year-old admitted she doesn't have a "super tight" relationship with Vanderpump — who co-owns a bar with Sandoval — Leviss stated, "It doesn't feel good" to have her speak on such a "sensitive" topic.
"It took a long time to really decide if I'm going to press charges or not," she explained. "My privacy was violated in a very intimate, unsuspecting way, and it is embarrassing and not something that I’m proud of at all. So to have her push out a certain type of story that isn't anywhere near the truth of what has happened is very disappointing"
Rachel Leviss Says Her Perception Of Lisa Vanderpump Is 'Shattering'
For Leviss, Vanderpump's remark on her lawsuit was particularly upsetting because she believed she found a mentor in the VPR executive.
"It's just a little heartbreaking to have somebody who you know, you kind of look up to in a way."
She continued, "You have this idea of who somebody is and admire them for, you know, being a boss and advocating for what's right, but it just seems like that perception is shattering very quickly, seeing the way that she has turned on me."
Leviss noted that Vanderpump "has a lot of power" but she is not afraid to speak her truth. "I want to be firm and standing up for myself and pointing out that it’s not okay to be talking about and spreading certain propaganda and straight-up lies as a way to change the public perception of somebody," the podcast host declared.
Leviss further pointed out that Vanderpump's comment was awful in every context, calling it "pretty much victim-shaming."
Rachel Leviss Sued Tom Sandoval & Ariana Madix For Revenge Porn
Last month, The Blast broke the news that Leviss accused Madix and Sandoval of eavesdropping, revenge porn, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a lawsuit.
"Leviss was a victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man, who recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent, which were then distributed, disseminated, and discussed publicly by a scorned women seeking vengeance, catalyzing the scandal," an excerpt of the filing read.
Recall that Leviss' affair with Sandoval during season 10 of "Vanderpump Rules" birthed the explosive "Scandoval" saga that rocked headlines. A sexually explicit video of the duo — Leviss and Sandoval — which was discovered by Madix on Sandoval’s phone prompted the whole thing.
However, Leviss, in her lawsuit, claimed the explicit clip — which showed her "in a state of undress and masturbating" — was allegedly "recorded by Sandoval without her knowledge or consent." She also alleged that Madix intentionally obtained Sandoval’s phone, searched it, “and found of Leviss” as opposed to the claim that she stumbled upon the video.
She further expressed fears that Sandoval could have more recordings of her "given Sandoval’s apparent practice of secretly recording their video calls."
Leviss Is Glad To Be Away From 'Vanderpump Rules'
Amid "Scandoval" Leviss took a back seat from "Vanderpump Rules" and made a decision to skip season 11. Last month, she addressed her decision to be absent from fans' screens, saying:
"It's like, Okay, I am watching this show, and I'm really having to accept the fact that I'm not on it this season, and that was a decision that I really had a lot of weight in making."
Although the TV personality confessed on her podcast to feeling a little "fomo" she expressed her satisfaction in not being part of the season’s narrative, stating, "I kept thinking, like, 'oh my gosh, I’m so happy that I’m not part of this."
