On Tuesday, a grief-stricken Janelle confirmed the heartbreaking news of her son's death on Instagram. She shared a joint statement with her ex-husband Kody alongside two pictures of Garrison, one in his military uniform and the other showing him posing for a picture outdoors.
"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy, Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him," Janelle captioned the post, noting that her son's death had broken the family's hearts.
The grieving matriarch stressed that his passing "will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away" and implored fans to ease the Brown family's pain by respecting their privacy. She also requested the public to join them in honoring Garrison's memory.
As stated, Janelle's fourth child passed away in his Flagstaff home at 25. He was declared dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and authorities believe all evidence points to a possible suicide as no foul play is suspected.
Garrison Brown Sent An Alarming Text Message A Day Before His Death
A day before his lifeless body was discovered, Garrison reportedly got his mother worried about his well-being. According to a police report, authorities contacted Janelle, who recalled her last conversation with her son.
The mother of six explained that she was concerned about Garrison after discovering the messages he sent to a group of people. These individuals work with the Brown family, presumably on their reality TV series, and they all got the ominous text:
"I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can't. I miss these days."
After she caught wind of his concerning message, Janelle immediately reached out to Garrison, and the pair shared a brief conversation via texts for a few minutes before he stopped responding. His unresponsiveness sent the mother of six scrambling to find someone to do a wellness check.
Gabriel, her fifth child, offered to visit his brother's Flagstaff home, but he arrived too late. Surprisingly, Garrison's three roommates were unaware of his death until his younger brother discovered his lifeless body with a handgun.
