Brittany Cartwright's relationship with Jax Taylor has played out on television over the years, and now their separation may be documented in their upcoming reality TV series.
The "Vanderpump Rules" star was recently spotted moving out of the couple's Los Angeles residence, with a film crew capturing all the juicy details. This move comes weeks after she announced the duo's split on their joint podcast "When Reality Hits" after five years of marriage.
Brittany Cartwright Leaves Shared Home With Jax Taylor Following Publicity Stunt Claims
Fans may see Cartwright and Taylor's divorce drama unfold on their TV screens. Their upcoming spin-off show, "The Valley," is set to follow their lives as a couple.
A film crew, presumably responsible for capturing footage for the program, was seen outside the former pair's L.A. home. On Wednesday, the film team joined Cartwright as she moved her luggage out of the estranged couple's home.
She had a suitcase at her feet while chatting with several crew members before they retreated. The reality TV star was reportedly filmed retrieving more of her belongings from the home, looking radiant in a chic ensemble.
She donned a black and taupe turtleneck tucked into black high-waist trousers with a leather purse over her shoulder and dazzling rings on her fingers.
As seen in the pictures shared by Daily Mail, Cartwright wore her honey-brown hair in loose waves that cascaded down her shoulders as she moved her belongings. Meanwhile, her estranged husband did not appear to be at home, and he was spotted running errands.
Taylor proudly promoted his new Studio City restaurant, Jax's, by wearing a gray sweatshirt and matching baseball cap illustrated with the business's name. The pair's new sighting comes shortly after Cartwright addressed speculations about their separation being a publicity stunt.
Fans theorized the duo's breakup was a twisted promotion for "The Valley," which will be released later this month. However, the Bravo star refuted these rumors in an interview, saying:
"This is definitely for my mental health. Like, I think that has been one of the hardest parts right now - that people are speculating that I am doing something for the show coming up... No."
"Whenever you fight with somebody for so long, there's only so much that you can take," Cartwright continued, noting that she deserved more, and so did the former couple's two-year-old son, Cruz. She also hinted at her plans to move out, declaring:
"And I deserve better. Cruz deserves better. We want a good co-parenting relationship, and I think moving out and taking space to figure out if this is what I want is the best situation for me right now."
Brittany Cartwright Announces Split From Jax Taylor In Emotional Podcast Episode
Weeks before Cartwright moved out of the former couple's LA home, she announced their split in a February episode of their joint podcast, "When Reality Hits."
The 35-year-old explained the pair had been getting questions about their relationship status and wished to come clean.
"I just think it's important to be real and honest with you guys because our life is definitely — we've shared so much of our life with you guys," Cartwright confessed. "So, I feel like … I don't want to seem like I'm lying or anything like that, so I think it's important for me to say this."
"I know on my last podcast, I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times. Yes, marriages in general are very hard, and I've had a particularly rough year this past year," she continued before dropping the bombshell announcement:
"Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health."
Cartwright implored fans to pray for her and Taylor as they navigated through this phase of their relationship. However, she emphasized that they were both fine and had seemingly decided to split on amicable terms.
She concluded: "I'm taking one day at a time. I don't know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz, and I love you guys. Pray for us, and everything will be just fine. We're good."
