Kelly Ripa Asked Why She's In Her Underwear

Kelly Ripa managed to get most of her fans on board as she delivered a surprise undies display during the holidays last year, but not all of her followers were keen on the skimpy display. Posting to Instagram to celebrate Christmas 2023, the 52-year-old talk show posed for a romantic shot by the tree with husband Mark Consuelos, then upping the fun as she stripped down to a t-shirt and what appeared to be underpants for a twinning snap with her 1996-married hubby. While Kelly did take to the comments to confirm that her briefs were in fact bikini bottoms, some fans still weren't feeling it.

Keeping her color choice festive, the blonde highlighted her impossibly toned arms and shoulders as she smiled for a low-key home snap, making sure to remind fans that her marriage to cohost Mark is rock-solid.

There's always a curveball with Kelly, though. In the next slide, the Live! host had lost the evening look as she posed in a printed tee, biking bottoms, and a Santa hat, with Mark wearing the same shirt, but in a different color.

Smiling as she wore her light locks down and sporting only a light layer of makeup, Kelly sent out major fun energy as she and Mark delivered "BIG NICK ENERGY" via their t-shirts, something also echoed in Kelly's caption. "Big Nick Energy ? Christmas 2023," she wrote, posting jointly with Mark.

Some fans loved it. "MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE COUPLES… May your family be blessed this New Year 2024!!" one replied. That said, others were questioning the skimpy display. "Really need to see your underwear," one user replied, adding in a face-palm emoji. "But why are you in underwear?" another asked.

The drama only mounted as users debated the complaints. "JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH…IT’S HER BATHING SUIT. All you Imbiciles are Ignorant. Now go and ask Kelly for forgiveness. Daaaang!!! ??," one fan replied, seemingly exasperated. "I wear a T shirt over my bathing suit. Don't really see the big deal people are making out of this ?," another said.

Kelly hasn't gotten involved in the drama, aside from confirming that her look included bikini bottoms.

Fans had zero complaints as Kelly posted this 2024 shot of herself in a strapless swimsuit. Posing with her shirtless husband and poolside, the mom of three wowed as she flaunted her rock-hard figure in her skimpy swimwear, with the January share captioned: "Greetings from Captains Underpants ?? (One last swim)." Kelly boasts 3.4 million Instagram followers.
