'American Idol' honcho Nigel Lythgoe has been accused of another alleged sexual assault, this time by a woman inside his home.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the woman -- identified as Jane Doe -- claims the television executive forced himself on her and pinned her against a wall.
In the filing, the woman claims she was close with Nigel professionally, including him knowing her husband and two children. In 2018, she says she engaged with him on a professional level, with a meeting at his home in Los Angeles.
"After a few minutes of professional discourse, Lythgoe suddenly forced [her] against the property's exterior side wall by shoving his knee between her legs and then started licking [her] neck, touching her genitalia, and groping her all over," she writes.
Adding, "[She] tried to push Lythgoe away from her but he had her pinned against a wall so that she could not move. Lythgoe continued to grope and tried to kiss [her.]
'American Idol' Creator Accused Of Several Sexual Assault
After the incident, the woman says she was "able to break free of Lythgoe" and "immediately" left the property and drove away. However, [she] was so shaken by the attack that she had to pull her car over only a block away from Lythgoe's residence. She then sat in her car shaking and crying for approximately thirty minutes before she was able to drive the remainder of the way home."
In the end, the woman claims the 'American Idol' creator stopped using her professional services following the incident.
"Lythgoes' sexual assault and battery of her left her feeling horribly violated, shocked, guilty, humiliated, and embarrassed. Such emotional and psychological distress was severe and lasting to this day, significantly impacting [her] professional and personal life," she continued.
Former 'American Idol' Host Paula Abdul Accused Nigel Lythgoe Of Sexual Assault
The new lawsuit comes on the same day Nigel responded to Paula Abdul'sallegations of sexual assault, claiming she is delusional and all allegations against him are lies.
This new lawsuit alleges the woman is now suffering from debilitating anxiety and can't perform certain "professional functions" and is having trouble in her marriage. It states, she "became withdrawn in many of her personal relationships. especially in her marriage, [she] and her husband almost divorced and had to begin couple's therapy."
Adding, "[She] also experienced and continues to experience anxiety and distress when touched by other persons. Overall, Lythgoe's sexual assault and battery was so traumatizing that she no longer feels like the confident, capable, and independent woman that she was before the incident."
The bottom line is she says she "suffered severe emotional distress, mental anguish, remorse, guilt, humiliation, and embarrassment."
The filing doesn't specify an exact number but is asking for damages associated with the alleged assault.
Nigel Lythgoe has yet to respond to these allegations.
