Ray J's Ex-Wife Princess Love Demands Spousal Support, Joint Custody Of Kids In Divorce

Singer and actor Ray J's wife, Princess Love, is demanding joint custody of their two kids in her divorce filing.

According to the court document obtained by The Blast, Love cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation.

The couple, who has been married since August 2016, have had a pretty rocky relationship, having filed for divorce three times, with this being their fourth.

Love filed to legally end her marriage with Ray J on Monday, February 26, at a Los Angeles court. Now, details in the official legal documents have revealed that she wants to have joint legal and physical custody of their kids, Melody, 5, and Epik, 4.

The TV personality is also demanding spousal support from Ray J.

Love's divorce filing makes it the fourth time the estranged couple has attempted to end their marriage.

Last year, Ray J was granted a divorce dismissal for the filing he made in 2021. The decision was made "without prejudice," which meant that the couple could file for divorce again.

The "Another Day in Paradise" singer talked about reconciling with Love and how he planned on keeping his family together.

"HAD TO GET MY WIFE BACK AND START FRESH," Ray J said on Instagram on January 17 while giving his followers a tour of the hotel in Las Vegas he was staying in at the time. "I LOVE MY FAMILY!! I'll FIGHT OVER AND OVER FOR LIFE FOR MY FAMILY AND KIDS!! – I'll put it ALL ON THE LINE FOR MY CHILDREN TO BE HAPPY AND SAFE AND CLOSE TO ME 24/7."

Since the divorce filing, Ray J has yet to comment on the end of his marriage to Love personally, but the duo shared a joint statement requesting privacy during this period in their lives.

Shortly after we broke the news of Ray J and Love's divorce, the latter took to social media to address the issue by sharing what appears to be a joint statement from her and Ray J.

The statement read: "Dear Friends and Family, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways."

It continued, "We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other's well-being. While our relationship as spouses may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic."

In their lengthy statement, the couple asked the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time in their lives.

They concluded, saying: "Though this chapter of our lives may be closing, we look forward to embracing the opportunities for growth, healing, and new beginnings that lie ahead. We are confident that with time, understanding, and the support of our loved ones, we will navigate this transition with grace and resilience. Thank you for your understanding and support."

Captioning the post on Instagram, Love wrote, "Trusting GOD with the next chapter of our lives. Peace and Love. Always."
