When the Miami Heat star debuted his emo look on NBA media day back in October, everyone assumed it was Butler being Butler and it would be a one-day look. But now months later, we're all finding out that emo Butler is still alive and well and starring in a music video.

On Wednesday, Fall Out Boy's "So Much (For) Stardust" video premiered and NBA fans saw a familiar face in the video - emo Butler! Butler is seen in the video as "Heat Wentz," a play on Pete Wentz's name, Fall Out Boy's bassist.

And boy did Butler look like the emo pro that he apparently is; flawlessly dancing, playing the guitar, and lip syncing in the video!

When Fall Out Boy shared a clip of the video on their Instagram page, fans left their thoughts in the comment section. Apparently, no one expected to see the NBA star in his emo form in the video!

"I don’t know what I was expecting for this music video, but it definitely wasn’t this lmao," one fan wrote. Another added, "The way we were all wrong." And one other fan shared, "Jimmy is literally the last person. I would expect to be in a fob music video."

And while no one expected Butler's new side quest to be starring in a Fall Out Boy video, fans are definitely here for it and love the surprise!

"the only word to describe this is iconic," one person wrote. Another said, "My Black, country, basketball-loving self is so happy."

While many are fully here for emo Butler's adventures, some Heat fans want "playoff Jimmy" back.

"We want playoff Jimmy," one fan wrote. Another said, "We want playoff Jimmy back. Finish the job." One person even suggested that Butler should play as his emo persona. (That could be a very interesting game for so many reasons!)

Butler Filed A Trademark For The Term "EMO JIMBO"

Back in December, Butler filed a trademark application for "EMO JIMBO" with the intent to use the name on his brand of clothing.

"The application that Butler filed on November 20 claims that he has a ‘bona fide intent’ to use the EMO JIMBO trademark as a brand of clothing,” Trademark Attorney, Josh Gerben, told The Blast exclusively.

“Butler has a long history of filing trademarks around his off-the-court activities. The most recent example would be the BIGFACE COFFEE trademarks he filed after starting his own coffee business during the NBA Bubble.”

Gerben, founding partner of Gerben Perrott PLLC, said that the trademark filing will “help Butler and deal with any authorized sellers using the EMO JIMBO name to sell clothing online.” The trademark will also help Butler sell his own clothing line and "add another line of business to his various ventures."

So maybe we haven't seen the last of emo Butler! Maybe there's way more "EMO JIMBO" headed our way!
