Fox News Host Claims Donald Trump Has Won Over Black Voters With His Gold Sneakers

Apparently, for some Republicans, all it takes for Donald Trump to win over the support of Black voters is a pair of gold sneakers worth $400.
On Fox News, commentator Raymond Arroyo made the wild claim, which leans into racial stereotypes about Black people, that due to an alleged love for sneakers, they would vote for Trump in the coming presidential election.
This comes after Trump proudly showed off his gold sneakers on social media, after they sold out within days of him launching them at Sneaker Con.
Fox News Host Claims Donald Trump Will Get Support Of Black Voters Thanks To Sneakers
During an appearance on Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," Arroyo made a startling analysis regarding Black Americans and a reason why they could potentially support former president Donald Trump in his bid to be re-elected.
Arroyo noted that Trump, who launched a line of gold shoes at the recently concluded Sneaker Con, was connecting to Black people "culturally" because "they love sneakers." He also claimed that the release of the $400 gold sneakers was causing Black Americans' support of President Joe Biden to wane.
"Even the sneaker thing. I was on social media last night. Very interesting as you see Black support eroding from Joe Biden," Arroyo stated. "This is connecting with Black America because they love sneakers... This is a big deal. Certainly in the inner city."
Fox News commentator says black people will move to Trump because he went to Sneaker Con in Philly:

He continued, "So when you have Trump roll out his sneaker line, they are like, 'Wait a minute, this is cool.' He's reaching them on a level that defies and is above politics. The culture always trumps politics, and Trump understands culture like no politician I've ever seen."
During the show, Arroyo was then asked if the people who love Trump's sneakers would go out to vote for him, and he replied, "Anybody willing to put $400 bucks down for a pair of sneakers, yeah, I think that is commitment and love. It's something; it's affection."
Social Media Brands Arroyo's Analysis 'Racist'
Over on social media, users on X (formerly Twitter) were shocked by the claim, with many calling Arroyo a "racist" and "ignorant" for thinking a pair of sneakers would cause Black Americans to vote for Trump.
One person said, "When you thought they can’t get any more racist and they prove you wrong!"
Another wrote, "Fox News is showing their pointy hoods again. Absolutely reprehensible."
"Holy c--- really? I’m white and own tons of shoes and sneakers. I wouldn’t vote for that racist pos ever," a third person commented.
"That sounds like racial stereotyping, which is racist," a fourth person stated.
Another X user slammed the interview as "insulting" for assuming people could be easily swayed to vote a certain way by "cheap" products.
"I listened to this interview. This conversation offended me because it shows how FOX believes ANYONE could [be] swayed [to] vote a certain way by something so trivial as a cheap looking [one] made in China, sold way above its value. VERY INSULTING," the individual said.
