Tom Cruise SPLITS From Russian Socialite Elsina Khayrova Days After Meeting Kids

Tom Cruise has allegedly split up with his Russian lover, Elsina Khayrova, a few days after reports claimed that he met her children.

As we reported, the pair were romantically linked for the first time in December last year after they were seen getting cozy with each other at a private party in London's Mayfair.

During their brief romance, Khayrova's ex-husband cautioned the Hollywood star of his former spouse's "expensive" taste.

According to a report by The Sun, the "Top Gun" actor "cooled off the romance" with Khayrova. However, he still wanted to remain friends with the Russian socialite because they lived in the same apartment block in London.

"To end things on a bad note would have been awkward if they'd bumped into each other in the lift," a source told the news outlet. "There are no hard feelings between them, and for Tom, their relationship simply ran its course."

Their breakup comes days after it was alleged that the actor met Khayrova's kids. She shares a son and a daughter with her ex-husband, Russian oligarch Dimitry Tsvetkov.

A source told Page Six at the time, "Tom has been staying the night at Elsina's apartment, which, as you can imagine, is a very beautiful place. They enjoy hanging out together and, despite their wealth, do a lot of the things that normal couples do."

During their brief romance, the pair were never photographed together, with an insider claiming they "take a lot of care not to be photographed together because they want to maintain their privacy."

Shortly after news of Cruise's romance with Khayrova made headlines, the socialite's ex-husband, Tsvetkov, spoke out. The Russian oligarch was married to Khayrova for 11 years, a phase of his life that he recalls without fondness.

He claimed that during his marriage to Khayrova, he spent millions of dollars buying clothes, handbags, and other pricey items to satisfy her "expensive and luxurious taste."

Given her expectations for such luxury, Tsvetkov believes that any new man entering his ex's life should be ready to match or even exceed those expenditures.

"Irrespective of whoever she's with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious taste," the diamond dealer told the Daily Mail.

At the time, Tsvetkov stated that "Tom should keep his eyes and wallet wide open" but noted that he was "happy" for Khayrova and wished her "all the best."

While speaking with the news outlet about his divorce from Khayrova, the Russian oligarch claimed that he lost a considerable chunk of his fortune during the three years their court battle lasted to cater to legal fees and their costly divorce settlement.

Tsvetkov also stated that Khayrova was granted all of the luxurious items he purchased for her, with some of the items exceeding $40,000 each.

Although he did not share his reasons, Tsetkov revealed that he had not spoken with Khayrova in person since their divorce. He also said at the time that he did not discuss the subject of her alleged romance with Cruise.

Tsetkov told the news outlet, "I haven't spoken with Elsina about this because our preferred method of communication is through our lawyers. She's 36; she's beautiful, financially independent, and loves life."

According to a report, Cruise's ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, viewed his romance with Khayrova as "staged."

An insider told the National Enquirer that Kidman finds the situation "staged and bizarre" and "makes her even more thankful for her own marriage."

Following her divorce from Cruise in 2001, Kidman found love with country music star Keith Urban, with whom she tied the knot in 2006.

Regarding Cruise's romance with Khayrova, the "Aquaman" star reportedly deemed it an attempt to overcome his reputation as "undateable" by spending lavishly.

"Tom's shown for years he's undateable, and if he thinks he's going to solve that problem by throwing money at his high-maintenance sweetie, then good luck with that," an insider claimed at the time.

"Nicole knows what a ham Tom is," the source added. "He can pour on the charm and hire out an entire restaurant for one meal, but there's no substance there."

They continued, "Somewhere down the line, Tom's going to get bored and distracted by other things, and Elsina's going to kick him to the curb."
