Two adults have been charged in connection to the tragic mass shooting that rocked the city of Kansas on Wednesday, last week, at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade.

At the event, over 20 people were injured, with one person confirmed dead. The new charges come after two juveniles were taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest and possession of firearms.

According to reports, Missouri prosecutors revealed on Tuesday that two adults have been charged with murder following the shooting at the Chiefs parade that left one person dead and twenty-two injured.

Prior to this development, two teenagers were arrested and are being held in juvenile detention where they may be told to attend a hearing to ascertain if they will be tried as adults.

Law enforcement has claimed that the shooting stemmed from a dispute between several individuals. Recently, a video was released which showed several teenagers engaging in a heated exchange moments before gunshots erupted, resulting in chaos at the parade.

The footage showed a teenager donning a red outfit engaged in a heated argument with an off-camera individual during the rally held after the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win. Another teen dressed in black is observed approaching the altercation.

The Deceased Kansas City Shooting Victim Was Identified As DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan

Following the unfortunate incident, one individual a woman, was confirmed dead. She was later identified as a 43-year-old local DJ known as Lisa Lopez-Galvan.

Lopez-Galvan was the host of a Tex-Mex music show on community radio station KKFI. She was also involved in raising funds for Latino community events and organizations, including organizing toy drives for children battling cancer and assisting with college scholarships.

During the shooting, Lopez-Galvan's son and two other family members were injured. The son has been released from the hospital.

An online fundraiser to raise money for the Lopez-Galvan family was created. It quickly raised more than $230,000, with  $100,000 being donated by pop star Taylor Swift, who attended the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
