Ralphie May was visibly ill during his final comedy show Thursday night, according to someone in the crowd.

An audience member at Thursday night's show at the Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas tells The Blast that May looked "pale and sweaty" when he walked on stage. Despite "looking like he belonged in bed," May still put on a fantastic set.

The comedian briefly mentioned his bout with pneumonia while on stage and noted it had been "the worst couple of months" for him, saying his family was recovering from hurricane destruction in both Houston and Florida.

May was uplifting, though when he touched on Sunday's Las Vegas mass shooting, he told the audience he felt the town's unity was healing.

Right before going into his set, May added that he hoped he could make the crowd laugh at least once and "forget about the negativity, even for just a couple hours."

The comedian passed away early Friday morning at age 45. A rep for May said he had been battling pneumonia and died at a private residence in Las Vegas.
