The ladies behind the GoFundMe, Rachel and Megan, claim to be owners of two fitness studios in the Northeast Ohio area, which the late adult film star went to a lot.
On the GoFundMe page, they showered the late Karter with praises, describing her as a woman "who wore many hats" and a "performer, a singer, a dancer, a daughter and a friend."
They added, "She first came to our Cleveland studio in November of 2019, freshly moved out of LA, rearing and ready to jump back into pole, in a brand new community where she knew no one and no one knew her."
The duo noted that Karter "wasn't intimidated or anxious. The fact that she was the new kid on the block didn't bother her in the least. She immediately warmed to the studio and all the students with an effortless grace, and it soon felt as if she had always been a part of the studio from the very beginning."
According to Rachel and Megan, Karter struggled with her mental health "as the years passed by." However, in her darkest days, "she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, better herself in whatever small way she could manage."
The pair noted that Karter's last class with them was February 7, "less than two weeks before [she] tragically took her own life in her home."
Rest in peace, Kagney Linn Karter.
