Aiko has been hit with a lawsuit for a car accident that happened almost two years ago. The singer is being sued by an individual identified as Genelle Ligot.

Ligot claims that in July 2022, at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Hayvenhurst Avenue in Encino, California, Aiko "struck her" vehicle from behind while waiting at a traffic light.

The court document reads, "[Ligot] was stopped at a traffic light when [Aiko] struck [her] from behind. Due to the negligent actions of [Aiko] while operating the motor vehicle, [Ligot] was injured in health, strength, and activity."

According to the legal filing, Ligot has suffered "wage loss, loss of use of property, hospital and medical expenses, general damage, property damage and loss of earning capacity."

This recent filing comes after Aiko and her partner, rapper Big Sean, were granted a five-year restraining order against an obsessed fan who broke into their home.

As we reported, the order was granted by a Los Angeles County judge after hearing evidence in the case. The order is set to expire on October 24, 2028.

The obsessed fan is now mandated to remain over 100 yards away from Big Sean, Aiko, and their family.

Aiko and Big Sean initially appeared in court in August last year, requesting a restraining order against a 29-year-old man because the singer "feared for her life."

The man allegedly attended several events and performances, but breaking into Big Sean and Aiko's home, where they reside with their 14-year-old daughter and infant son, was the last straw.

The obsessed fan even got into a physical altercation with the rapper's neighbor's security team at the time.

Now the couple can breathe easily, knowing he can't come near them, at least for the next five years.
