Taylor Swift has made a $100k donation to support the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the mother of two who lost her life during Wednesday's shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowlparade.

Lopez-Galvan was fatally shot at the conclusion of the parade amid what authorities claimed to be an argument among several people.

On Friday, Swift demonstrated her compassion by making two separate $50k donations to the GoFundMe page set up to assist Lopez-Galvan's family in the aftermath of her tragic passing. Alongside the hefty donation, the singer dropped a message in the “Words of Support” section on the page, stating:

"Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift."

At the time of this report, donations to the page had surpassed $190k, reflecting the outpouring of support and solidarity for Lopez-Galvan's family in the aftermath of her death. The bio on the GoFundMe page, titled the "Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial," explained:

"Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed. She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life. This fund will help provide vital financial support to her family as they process this unthinkable tragedy."

The page also described the late disc jockey as "an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many." Lopez-Galvan's death was confirmed by her employer, KKFI-FM, in a statement posted to Facebook this week. They shared:

"It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life today in the shooting at the KC Chiefs' rally. Our hearts and prayers are with her family."

The post struck a chord in the hearts of many Facebook users, and they promptly rallied around the company and Lopez-Galvan's family in the comment section.

While one person expressed, "I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family of the young lady. Love from Minnesota," another conveyed, "Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, both on and off the microphone. To have such a beautiful celebration end in such a tragedy. Sending love from NY." 

"There are no words for moments like this. Sending prayers to Lisa's family and all her co-workers on this sad situation from a colleague here in DFW," yet another person penned.

Travis Kelce Showed His Support For The Victims  On  Social Media Post

Days before his superstar girlfriend donated to Lopez-Galvan's family, Travis Kelce spoke about the unfortunate shooting that resulted in one person dead and 20 others injured. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Chiefs tight end declared:

"I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me."

The heartfelt tribute was felt by many of his fans, one of whom replied, "Thank you, Travis. No one in a million years thought something like this would occur.   You guys were bringing joy to the fans and the children……..they love you guys……as we all do. Prayers of healing for the injured and comfort for the family of the deceased."

However, one individual wanted Kelce to take action to prevent a repeat of the shooting. They implored, "Travis, please use your massive platform and voice to call for gun safety laws to be put into place so we can avoid future tragedies."

Amid Kelce's remark and the subsequent reactions, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves provided updates on the tragic event at Union Station during a press conference. She announced, "Three individuals have been detained and are currently under investigation for today's incident. At present, we do not have a motive." 

The police chief also expressed frustration, stating, "I'm deeply angered by today's events. Attendees at this celebration should rightfully anticipate a secure environment."

As The Blast observed, the devastating Chiefs Super Bowl celebratory parade shooting occurred on the sixth anniversary of the Parkland school shooting. The incident, which took place on February 14, 2018, resulted in 17 fatalities.
