He said that his "health is good," adding, "But I think I'm just about over it."

"I'll be back on that golf course, hopefully, in a couple of weeks."

OJ was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which is one of the most common types of cancer. Many grow slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where they may not cause serious harm, according to the Mayo Clinic. However, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly.

The former NFL star claims the cancer is not terminal, and says he is not in hospice care.

OJ is not only known for his time in the NFL, where he played for 11 seasons, but he is obviously known for being accused of a double homicide which includes his wife Nicole Brown Simpson.

In June 1994, OJ’s ex-wife and her friend, Ron Goldman, were found stabbed to death outside her condo in Los Angeles. Police immediately looked to the former Buffalo Bills player as the prime suspect.

After failing to turn himself into the Los Angeles Police Department, he, instead, hid in the back of the infamous white Ford Bronco driven by his friend and former teammate A.C. Cowlings -- leading to one of the most notorious car chases of all time.

Ultimately, the chase ended when they all reached OJ's home in Brentwood, CA where was taken to the Los Angeles County Jail and placed on suicide watch.

Approximately 95 million people nationwide tuned into the car chase.

He stood trial, which lasted nine months. In the end, OJ was acquitted.
