“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement after the big announcement was made last year. "Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Despite Usher saying he had some challenges to overcome when planning the big show, including trying to "determine what moment matters more than others" and how to handle "the dance, the wardrobe, the lighting, how long you stay in a song, the fact that the audience may sing along," he completely nailed it as fans loved the surprise guests the singer brought out.

Alicia Keys was the first, who showed up in a red sequined one-piece playing the piano. The two went on to sing the classic 'My Boo'.

Lil Jon also appeared to sing the iconic hit 'Yeah' before Ludacris came out to sing his part.

The one artist missing -- Justin Bieber... While it was reported that he showed up alongside the Kardashians, he did not show up during the halftime show.

When speaking on the new album, Usher said that he "went through an entire world of experience from being a married man to a single man, to having and finding true love myself, and then finding a partner, and then the journey of what that is and what that has become, and is still becoming."

Adding, "The idea of that journey felt like me finally coming back home to this place that I'm very comfortable to just share and know I'm being vulnerable in. I'm ready."

Usher's new album is out now and features Burna Boy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Latto, The-Dream, H.E.R., Pheelz, and Jung Kook.
