Killer Mike's Appreciation Of God Knows No Bounds Following Grammy Arrest

Killer Mike was the epitome of thankfulness as he reflected on his roller coaster experience in a recent conversation after being led out of Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where the Grammys held. He wrote:

"I took a couple hours, man. I was just by myself, and I was just thankful I took time to thank God and to say, I appreciate the blessings you've given me. I spent time talking. I'm invoking the spirit of my grandmother and my mother and just saying, Look, I've done it. And after a few hours, man, I got out and went parties and had fun."

According to him, his decision to use "those three hours to be thankful to God and to be calm and to meditate" did not go to waste as he shared that he got a call informing him that his eldest son had finally gotten a kidney donor after being on the transplant list for three years.

The call which came "the very next morning," ultimately led him to attest that "God is real." Going further in his musings during the interview, Killer Mike told GQ:

"I could have succumbed to anger or evil and talked s—t. But I'm just grateful. I'm grateful. Not only that I won, but I'm grateful that God showed me within 24 hours that there's something more important than even the accolades you've worked for. And that's my family and my child and I'm just thankful. I thank Him."

Killer Mike Addressed The Run-In With Law Enforcement At The Grammys

The Blast disclosed that a security guard accused the father-of-four of pushing her to the ground while he was trying to navigate his way around her at the entrance of the Crypto.com Arena.

After news of the incident broke, a member of the "South Park" special guest's team informed the public:

"We are grateful for the love and support Killer Mike has received. He worked incredibly hard on 'MICHAEL,' and his Grammy win was well-deserved. We hit a speed bump in that Mike was detained and charged with a misdemeanor after collecting his awards."

After claiming that "there was considerable confusion" about the direction to go into the Grammys venue, they expressed that the Atlanta native "encountered an overzealous security guard and continued moving towards his destination."

However, as the team member added, the situation became "overblown." Despite that, they remained "confident that the facts of the case, when laid bare, will show that Mike did not commit the alleged offense, and he will be exonerated."

In his statement addressing the altercation, Killer Mike explained:

"As you can imagine, there was a lot going, and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter. We experienced an overzealous security guard, but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing."
