Reflecting on her experience, she emphasized the physical demands of the sport, comparing it to football and highlighting the absence of protective gear in soccer. She recounted the challenges she faced while playing abroad, underscoring the resilience and determination required to navigate unfamiliar territories and push oneself to the limit.

"It's very physically demanding… yes, yes, 100%, soccer is what I thought the hardest sport there is – because in football, obviously, you're taking tackles, but they've got pads! You don't have pads in soccer," Nyx told WrestleRant. "So you're getting hit hard, you're tackling people hard, it's not a joke! I was like, 'I've got this' as I went to a foreign country and didn't speak their language and I thought I could overcome everything. Then I came here and it pushed me to my limits!"

From Soccer To Pro Wrestling

Nyx's journey into professional wrestling began when she was recruited by NXT through their NIL program, where she has been diligently refining her skills ever since. Prior to her wrestling career, she made strides in football, starting with a commendable collegiate stint at the University of West Virginia. Following her college tenure, the native of New York seized the opportunity to play professionally in Iceland for UMF Afturelding, showcasing her talents as a winger. In 2021, Nyx made the bold move to the volcanic island to pursue her athletic aspirations.

Upon her return to the United States, Nyx seized the chance to audition for the WWE in Nashville, a pivotal moment that ultimately led to her signing a contract with the renowned wrestling organization later in the same year.
