When asked by Jason what he was doing differently this week to prepare for the big day, Travis playfully answered, "I'm not really doing much different other than just counting how much money I’m spending on this d--- Super Bowl for family and friends to come."

The star athlete, who is dating Taylor Swift, added, "Just making sure I'm on top of those finances and losing all this money!" With the Super Bowl fast approaching, the prices of VIP suites have been a big topic of discussion among fans and even NFL stars and their loved ones.

Although Travis has hinted that he coughed out heavy bucks to make arrangements for his loved ones to be at the game, his mother Donna Kelce, doesn't seem to think she would be eligible to sit in the suites.

Just a day before the "New Heights" episode, Mama Donna, as she is fondly called, revealed that she was going to be slumming it with the masses at the game because of how expensive the Super Bowl could be. "You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multimillion dollars, so I have a feeling I'm not in a box," she said while on Today Show.

The matriarch added, "I have a feeling I'm in the stands, so far as I know I'm in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl."

Christian McCaffery Didn't Want Fiancée Olivia Culpo To Buy Suite Tickets

Travis' mother isn't the only NFL loved one who has publicly complained about the prices of the VIP Suite. Earlier this week, Chris McCaffery of the San Francisco 49ers had to stop his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, from purchasing the tickets.

It happened that McCaffery's mom, Lisa, spoke up about not being able to afford the suite. "We looked into a suite and none of us can afford it. Not even Christian, money bags over there — nor money bags Olivia," Lisa claimed on her "Your Mom" podcast. "So, we are not in a suite. I'll tell you that right now."

Lisa explained that they had to settle for a negotiated reserved area in the stadium, but they were only able to secure eight tickets for the family. As a result, any of McCaffery's friends would watch from a nearby bar and meet up with them afterward.

The disappointed matriarch seemingly blamed Taylor Swift for the hiked prices, saying, "Long story short, they are outrageously expensive … I don’t know if it's the Taylor Swift factor, I don’t know if it's the first time in Vegas factor, there is just so much going on."

Following Lisa McCaffery's revelation, her daughter-in-law-to-be attempted to make her happy by purchasing suite tickets, but Culpo's attempt was thwarted by her fiancé, who declared he "had to nix" it. "She [Culpo] tried to, but I will not let anybody pay to watch me play," the running back declared, before reiterating, "I'm not letting anyone pay to watch me play."
