Brittany Mahomes Becomes Sports Illustrated's Latest Swimsuit Model [VIDEO]

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has become 'Sports Illustrated''s latest swimsuit model at the age of 28.

The 2024 rookie will make her 'Sports Illustrated'debut on the front of 'SI' Swimsuit's 60th-anniversary issue as she uses her platform to empower and inspire others.

Brittany is a mom of two, a former soccer player, and an American sports team owner. Now, she can add 'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit model to her list!

“Brittany Mahomes is your newest 2024 'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit Rookie!" the magazine announced on Thursday, February 8. "Owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, former pro athlete, wife and mother, Brittany emerges as the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse."

Brittany is also the "founder of the world’s first-ever dedicated stadium for women’s sports." Her journey "has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination."

"We are proud to welcome her to the SI Swimsuit family, where she will undoubtedly continue to empower women worldwide," the announcement continued.

The photos were taken on the beautiful beaches of Belize as Brittany wore a skimpy red bikini as well as other red-hot swimsuits for her shoot.

“I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen,” Brittany said of the experience. “I’m so thankful and honored and so excited to be here with this team.”

In an interview with 'Sports Illustrated', the mom of two described herself as “unapologetically always myself in any setting” as she continues to be in the spotlight by media and NFL fans, even having dealt with some hate and backlash in the past.  

“Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself,” the 28-year-old continued. “People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters. Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”

Fans of Brittany flooded the comments section to share their excitement, as one user wrote, "The best part of this entire thing is that Patrick wasn’t mentioned in the caption at all."

They added, "It’s refreshing to see a woman defined by her accomplishments rather than constantly labeled as “so and so’s wife”. Great job to Brittney and to SI for focusing on her WORK."

Another said, "Love that the caption doesn’t say 'wife to Patrick Mahomes' and just says 'wife and mother', putting the whole focus on her. "

This announcement comes just days before Super Bowl LVIII -- a game in which Brittany's husband, Patrick, will be playing, as he and the Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers. It is expected that Brittany be in the stands to cheer the team on.
