'Euphoria' Star Jacob Elordi Under Criminal Investigation For Alleged Assault

'Euphoria' star Jacob Elordi is under a NSW police investigation after allegedly assaulting a news reporter.

The 26-year-old flew to his home country ahead of the AACTA Awards on the Gold Coast on February 10 but reportedly got into it with a reporter outside a hotel in Sydney, Australia.

It all started outside the Clovelly Hotel, where Elordi is currently staying when he was approached by a KIIS FM staffer, Joshua Fox. He reportedly asked the 'Euphoria' star a line of questions, which irritated Elordi, leading to a heated altercation.

That is when Elordi allegedly assaulted Fox. “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” a statement from the NSW Police read.

“Police were told about 3:30 pm on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man," the statement continued. "The man did not sustain any injuries.”

Fox's name may sound familiar as he is known for crashing 'Married At First Sight' weddings, which he shares on his social media pages.

The 26-year-old recently opened up about season three of 'Euphoria', admitting he has no clue when filming will begin.

"I hope [filming is] soon, otherwise they're going to have to Benjamin Button me or something," he joked on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'. "I'm going to have, like, a bad back, walking down the hallway."

Elordi stars alongside Sydney Sweeney in the hit Max show, who recently opened up about her co-star, Angus Cloud's death. The cast of 'Euphoria' were shocked and devastated over Cloud's accidental drug overdose in July.

"[My costars and I] were constantly on the phone with each other crying because it was just such a shock. I don't think it'll truly feel real or hit me until we're filming, and I won't see Angus on set," Sweeney said of the tragedy.

"(At least) when we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other, and we're there for each other, just in a different way than we're able to when we're all in very separate places in the world," Sweeney added in her Glamour cover story. "It's really interesting when someone passes away in our industry because they're still alive in so many forms."

Sweeney also released a statement following her co-star's unexpected death, writing on social media at the time:

"Angus, you were an open soul with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter. This is the hardest thing ive ever had to post, and im struggling to find all the words.

You will be missed more than you know, but I'm so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I'm sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same. This heartache is real, and I wish we could've had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you."

Zendaya, who also stars in the hit show, broke her silence on Cloud's death, stating, "Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor). I'm so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm, kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I'm smiling now just thinking of it)."
