'Killers of the Flower Moon' producer, Bradley Thomas's wife, Isabelle Thomas, reportedly took her own life by jumping off a hotel balcony.
According to law enforcement, Thomas allegedly jumped from a hotel balcony in the West L.A. area Monday night. Her body was discovered at the scene after first responders arrived.
Bradley Thomas's Wife Reportedly Dies Of 'Multiple Traumatic Injuries'
Investigators believed the producer's wife reportedly jumped from a "high-up floor" of the hotel. As for reasoning, law enforcement says there was no suicide note at the scene.
The case is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office and is officially listed as a suicide. The official cause of death is "multiple traumatic injuries" that are consistent with a major fall.
Legal documents confirm the place of death as the hotel.
The two have been married since 2018 and share two young children.
This unfortunate news comes weeks after 'Killers of the Flower Moon' received multiple Oscar nominations, including Martin Scorsese for Best Director, Lily Gladstone for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and Robert De Niro for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
It also was nominated in the Best Cinematography category, and its song 'Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People)' was nominated for Best Original Song.
'Killers of the Flower Moon' Sets Records
Director Martin Scorsese recently spoke out regarding the film and its narrative of depicting the “natural order of things."
“The idea that one could rationalize that if the Osage are not going to be of any use, if they’re going to be phased out anyway, why don’t we just, you know, help them go” he told Deadline. “And, ultimately, do we really feel any guilt for that? I don’t mean you and I, but when you’re doing what was being done to the Osage, and if you tend to dehumanize someone.”
He also spoke with TIME about the movie's story, claiming “after a certain point, I realized I was making a movie about all the white guys, meaning I was taking the approach from the outside in, which concerned me.”
The official synopsis of 'Killers of the Flower Moon' reads:
“At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murde. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Gladstone), Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.”
Bradley Thomas, who worked on 'Killers of the Flower Moon', is also known for his work on 'Dumb and Dumber,' 'There's Something About Mary,' 'Kingpin,' 'Shallow Hal,' 'All the Money in the World,' and 'Triangle of Sadness.'
Isabelle is survived by her husband and their two children. She was 39.
