Country music singer Chris Young is breaking his silence on his recent arrest, which occurred in a Nashville bar last month.

The 38-year-old singer was originally booked and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault of an officer on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was then released the next morning.

Chris Young Is 'Still Processing The False Accusations'

Days after the arrest, Chris Young is breaking his silence, admitting he is "still processing a lot through the false accusations and everything that went on in the past week."

"But I wanted to say first and foremost, thank you to everybody that had my back," he said in the newly released video, adding that "it meant the world to me and I had so many friends and fans reach out and say [we] got you, we don’t believe you did any of this.' So it’s really nice to see the charges get dismissed."

The country music singer went on to say, "It’s not something I wish anybody has to go through ever. But, like I said, the bright spot was seeing just all the love and support."

Fans continued to show support for the 'Aw Naw' singer, as one of his followers commented, "Really sorry you had to go through that ordeal, stay strong, and thanks for the beautiful music. Love you Chris Young."

As previously reported, the country music singer was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault of an officer last month.

Another one of Young's fans expressed, "Sorry you had to go through that Chris! The truth always wins and glad there was video to prove your truth!"

As one of his fans commented, "You shouldn't have to justify yourself. It's ridiculous. Your fans, and people who know you and respect you and know crazy s--- happens, will always be here for you and support you."

Chris Young Announces He Is Releasing New Music

After addressing the recent arrest, Chris Young then announced that he was releasing new music.

"So what I wanted to do as a thank you to you guys -- because this was not planned -- is drop a new song from the album so you guys will have something to listen to," he announced. "We’re going to put out 'Double Down’ at midnight and I really hope you guys enjoy this one. Crank it up, enjoy it -- I appreciate you, I love you, and thank you."

Nearly one week after his arrest, and after the District Attorney announced all charges would be dropped, Chris Young’s attorney, Bill Ramsey said, "Mr. Young and I are gratified with the DA’s decision clearing him of the charges and any wrongdoing."
