Does the "Superbad" actor have a secret life and career that none of us were aware of until recently? Signs might be pointing in that direction despite a recent announcement made by skincare brand CeraVe.

"CeraVe is, and always has been, developed with dermatologists. We reiterate this as we've heard rumors surrounding Michael Cera's involvement here at CeraVe, and we deny such claims," a recently statement on Instagram reads. "We are flattered to share Mr. Cera's passion for moisturizer, and wish him well. Thank you."

With that said, there are still some questions about Cera and CeraVe's ties. A recent TikTok video shared by Simpson, a viral content creator and vlogger, is pushing the rumors one step further.

After asking a production assistant on the streets of New York City how much she pays for rent in the city, the two end up exploring Cera's trailer.

"It actually says Michael Cera right here," Simpson says as he points to the sign on the trailer before entering. "Is that a microscope?"

As Simpson and his new friend move further into the trailer, they see tons of CeraVe products and a sign that reads, "Seeking skincare advice? Just ask me, Michael Cera, the developer of CeraVe."

The two open up the mini fridge just to find tons of CeraVe products lined up on each shelf, and even on the door.

"He does have nice skin. It's like baby soft," Simpson said. "There's cream everywhere in here. What's this movie about you guys are making?"

The PA responds that the movie is "not about lotion."

The two then look out the window of the trailer and spot Cera handing out CeraVe products on the street.

During a recent episode of "The Really Good Podcast" with Bobbi Althoff, Cera conveniently danced around the topic of founding the popular skincare brand.

"You claim you started that," Althoff said to Cera about CeraVe. He responded, "I don't claim that but if you look at my name, my name is Michael Cera. I just say look at the name."

He went on to say that other people have said he started the brand, but never fully denies the rumors.

“I like to just say I have some skin in the game and kind of leave it at that,” he continued. “I do use CeraVe. I think it’s a fine product and I think it’s very hydrating. There are three essential ceramides in it and a series of nourishing lipids, and I think it’s a fine product but that’s as far as it goes, as far as I’m willing to say.”

As Cera continued to dodge questions, Althoff sternly asks one more time, "Did you or did you not create CeraVe?" But that question just makes Cera excuse himself from the conversation, leaving the world wondering just what's going on here.

The CeraVe/Michael Cera struggle is real and we are still left with no actual answers, but something tells us we'll eventually land on the whole story and the truth. Stay tuned...
