Travis Kelce Will Not Attend The Grammys For Taylor Swift’s Big Night

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs star player and boyfriend of Taylor Swift, is reportedly set to miss the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony.

Many fans of the duo's romance initially expected Kelce to appear on Swift's big night at the awards, given that she had often shown up at his games. However, reports have revealed that would not be the case due to scheduling reasons.

The 2024 Grammys is less than a week away, taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4.

Once again, superstar singer Taylor Swift is one of the few artists up for multiple awards, clinching six nominations, two more than the nods she got from the previous year.

While Swift would definitely feel good about making history once again, her anticipated night at the award ceremony is somewhat dampened by reports that her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, will be a no-show. This has raised questions from fans who expected him to attend, as Swift has often shown up at his games in recent months.

According to a report, Travis Kelce's absence has no connection to any issues in their relationship. Instead, it's solely due to his "strict schedule" for the Kansas City Chiefs' matchup against the San Francisco 49ers for the upcoming Super Bowl.

It comes in the wake of the couple putting their romance on display for fans at the  Kansas City Chiefs victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship.

The Chiefs won the match 17-10 on Sunday to secure their fourth conference title in five seasons and punch their ticket to Super Bowl LVIII. It also marked the fourth time in five years that the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl, along with being a record-breaking day for Kelce,  as the player with the most postseason catches in NFL history.

Shortly after the win, Swift made her way to the field to celebrate with Kelce amid the fanfare from the fans and his teammate.

In the heat of the moment, the 12-time Grammy-winning singer shared a deep kiss with the NFL star, not minding that they were in public view. The couple also shared several deep hugs as they reveled in Kelce's team's historic victory.

According to recent reports, Swift and Kelce are considering taking their romance to the next level by getting engaged. An insider close to the duo told Page Six that the plan was to make it official over the summer, around their first anniversary in July.

The source also mentioned that it didn't happen during the winter holidays because "they don't want it to seem like it's rushed insanity.". Similarly, the source noted that Kelce wouldn't pop the question on Valentine's Day for the same reason.

"Taylor and Travis discussed it, and there is a plan," the insider claimed. Back in December, reports also circulated, revealing that Kelce had already spoken with Swift's father, Scott, about his plans to propose to the "Bad Blood" crooner. A source close to Kelce claimed, "Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring."

In the meantime, Swift is expected to make another public appearance at the Super Bowl to support Kelce despite having a show in Tokyo, Japan, one day before the big matchup.
