Travis Kelce's Mom Lands Brand Deal For Carrying Ziploc At Stadium

Travis Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce's newfound fame has landed her a big brand deal! 

The mother-of-two, who unsurprisingly gained prominence when her son began dating Taylor Swift last year, secured the deal after she was spotted carrying leftovers in a Ziploc bag.

Over the weekend, Donna was seen getting out of a car holding a Ziploc bag filled with goodies in one hand. In the hours since then, Ziploc revealed that the Kelce matriarch had become their inaugural Chief Leftover Officer (CLO).

Ziploc shared that three in four Big Game watch party hosts feel guilty about discarding leftovers despite over 18 million pounds being wasted during last year's game. To combat food waste, Donna, in her new role, will encourage guests to "Bring Your Own Ziploc" (BYOZ) to take home their leftovers. 

According to Daily Mail, the former bank executive will draw on her experience as a mom of two boys who values maintaining a well-stocked kitchen without letting food go to waste.

Additionally, Donna's primary initiative is to urge fans to bring Ziploc bags to Big Game watch parties, ensuring they can take home leftovers and minimize food waste.

Besides landing a significant gig with Ziploc, the 71-year-old has also been enjoying a media career of sorts since Travis began dating Taylor. When speaking on the media's coverage of her younger son's relationship, Donna stated:

"I'll tell you, it's just... they're making their own story, and I don't even have to say anything, they're just doing it all themselves."

Despite her bemusement at the media, Donna confessed that she appreciates the recognition she receives when out and about. In her words:

"It's been a ride. That's for sure. It's a little different. Sometimes I feel I'm on some kind of a different planet. I'm like, 'What has my life become?' It's been a ride, that's for sure It's fun being recognised. It is. Most everyone is pretty respectful and very positive."

In October 2023, Donna discussed the drama surrounding her son and Taylor's romance after social media users claimed that the "You Belong With Me" hitmaker used Travis as a PR stunt. The Blast reported that she spoke on the issue during an interview with Jennifer Vickery Smith on the podcast "Got It From My Momma."

"I feel like I'm in an alternate universe. It's something I never thought I'd be involved with," Donna expressed to Vickery, before acknowledging that her family was facing criticism from "haters."

As the conversation progressed, the doting mother made a joke, remarking that the NFL was "laughing all the way to the bank" due to surging ticket sales at the games Taylor attended. She added, "Good for them. They're getting the ramifications of everything."

Later in November, The Blast observed that Donna was accompanied by a police escort in Kansas City ahead of her sons — Travis (Kansas City Chiefs tight end) and Jason (Philadelphia Eagles center) — face off in a Monday Night game.

Four armed officers surrounded her as she engaged in promotional activities at a local Raising Cane's restaurant before making her way to the stadium. The precautionary measure was understandable to onlookers following Donna's heightened visibility after the Kelce brothers made NFL history as the first siblings to compete against each other in the Super Bowl.

She was spotted handling the register at Raising Cane's restaurant before departing with the aforementioned law enforcement agents. When she is not on the field rooting for her sons, Donna is singing praises for Travis and Taylor's relationship. 

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal for its December/January cover story on Travis, she shared, "I can tell you this – he's happier than I've seen him in a long time. God bless him. He shot for the stars!"
