Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is receiving backlash after he was seen tossing the helmet of Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker during pre-game.

The Chiefs and the Ravens face off Sunday, January 28 in the AFC Championship playoff game, meaning whichever team wins the game will then head to the Super Bowl.

It is expected this game will be one for the books, as both teams have the weapons and chemistry to help bring home the win. As expected, emotions are running high as this is a huge game in the NFL world -- and the shade is already starting before kick-off.

A video is making its rounds on social media, showing Justin Tucker, the kicker for the Ravens, stretching and warming up alongside many of the Kansas City Chiefs players.

As Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback, was throwing the ball around to loosen up, Travis Kelce walked over to where the QB was practicing and was seen kicking Tucker's football and tossing his helmet out of the way.

"Travis Kelce told Justin Tucker he needed to move because their QB Patrick Mahomes had to warm up. So Kelce kicked his ball away and threw his helmet," James Palmer, an NFL Network analyst, wrote alongside a video of the incident.

NFL fans immediately got on Kelce's case, as one user replied to the video, "Keep that same energy when you lose by 20."

Another wrote, "Kelce trying to act tough for his crush like he’s in middle school. This is so cringy." Of course, the fan is referring to Taylor Swift, Kelce's girlfriend who is currently at the game to cheer him and the team on.

As some fans slammed the tight end for his behavior, others are backing him up and placing the blame on Justin Tucker for warming up on the Chiefs' end of the field. "There’s absolutely zero reason Tucker needed to do his stretches right there. I’m not sure why people are acting like he’s a victim," one user wrote on X.

"I think it’s cringe that Tucker is trying to be a fake tough guy stretching where the other team warms up," another said.

Another fan also came to Kelce's defense, as they expressed something similar. "It’s so cringe for someone to be in the way stretching while the opposing team is warming up," they said.

And one user pointed out, "How is he 'trying to act tough for his crush' when this is how he has been since being drafted? Kelce has never had a problem getting into someone’s face when no one else will."

The AFC Championship playoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens will air on Sunday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
