The emotional tribute comes after Jada made headlines last year for her controversial statements about her marriage to Will Smith, whom she was spotted with at a cozy dinner at Nobu Malibu, post-New Year's.

The "Set It Off" alum told Daily Mail earlier this month that Will's infamous Oscars slap saved their marriage. She explained, "After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will's side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him."

"Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn't happened?" she added.

Opening up about their living arrangement, Jada revealed that she and the "Emancipation" actor were living separately during the incident.

She emphasized that no permanent decision had been made about their future together as they are "still figuring it out."

In the aftermath of the controversial Oscars slap when Will slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada's bald head, the actress disclosed that she hasn't spoken to the comedian.

The 52-year-old expressed her desire for peace, noting: "[Do I have] any desire to talk to Chris? Here's my desire: I just hope that all the misunderstanding around this can be cleared up and that there can be peace."

She also shared that Rock had asked her out before the Oscars incident, as he believed the divorce rumors circulating in the media. Jada clarified that those were mere rumors, not reflective of her actual relationship status with Will.

Speaking to People magazine, she recalled: "I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce, and this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce."

She added: "He called me, and basically he was like, 'I'd love to take you out, And I was like, 'What do you mean?' He was like, 'Well, aren't you and Will getting a divorce?' I was like, 'No, Chris, those are just rumors."

However, Will and Jada have been accused of allegedly staging a "united front" and orchestrating a PR stunt.

According to National Enquirer, reports suggest that the estranged couple's decision to live together again is an attempt to repair their public image after controversies like the Oscars slapgate and the gay sex scandal.

Sources claim the couple is carefully "carefully crafting narratives" to present a happy and committed front. The insider claimed, "Will and Jada are putting on a united front, ending their seven-year separation and choosing to live under the same roof once again."

"They are openly declaring their commitment to each other, portraying themselves as a happy couple after the recent messy revelations about their relationship," the source added. "But while they insist that they're back together, some doubt lingers. The couple's tendency to manage their public image through carefully crafted narratives is no secret."
