Country music star Chris Young has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) agent at a Nashville bar.
The 38-year-old is known for hit songs including 'Famous Friends', which he sang with Kane Brown, as well as 'Aw Naw' and 'I'm Comin' Over'.
Chris Young was reportedly visiting a bar in Nashville Monday evening when Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission walked in to do a compliance check. Once TABC walked past the country music singer, Young held his ID over his head. The TABC took Young's ID, checked it with the ID app, and then handed the ID back to Young.
Officers continued with their compliance check, but the multi-platinum global entertainer began to follow them and question the agents. According to the court documents, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents were answering Young's questions without issue. It is unclear what the country music singer was asking about.
Chris Young then began recording the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents and followed them to a different bar, where the TABC were set to perform another compliance check.

Things started to get a bit out of hand after the TABC agents attempted to walk towards the door, but Young “put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder,” according to the agent.
The TABC agent then pushed the country music singer “to create distance” but Young began “yelling and screaming,” according to an affidavit, per WKYN. "Another agent tried to talk to Young, who reportedly began walking backward and not complying with the agents orders," their report stated.
The country music singer reportedly refused to comply with the agents, and he was physically detained and placed into handcuffs.
WKYN's report states, "According to arrest documents, two agents had to physically detain Young and placed him in handcuffs. As agents tried to leave the bar with Young, multiple people who were with Young reportedly started following them and 'making the incident hostile'."
The affidavit states Young’s eyes were bloodshot and watery. He also was slurring his speech, indicating he was highly intoxicated.
