Keke Palmer Shares Cryptic Post About 'A Coward' Amid Custody Battle With Ex

Keke Palmer is sparking intrigue on social media with a mysterious Instagram post alluding to honesty and a "coward." 

The question probably on everyone's mind: Is this a subtle message directed at her ex, Darius Jackson? particularly in light of her previous admission of naivety in their past relationship.

The Emmy Award winner captivated her followers with a sun-kissed selfie that showcased her impeccable glam and vibrant red lips. While the photo exuded confidence, the accompanying caption delved into deeper themes of trust, relationships, and the intricacies of genuine connections.

The actress opened up about the complexities of relationships, expressing concerns about individuals who may harbor ulterior motives.

"Sometimes people don't want to be your friend, they just don't want to be your enemy. They can't be cool with you but they don't want you to know, even though you already do. And if they can keep you close enough, maybe they can use you at an opportune time without having to have shown any loyalty," Palmer shared in her caption. 

To conclude, she emphasized the importance of honesty, implying that being straightforward and transparent was crucial for building trust. Expressing it in her own terms, she stated:

"It's so much easier to be honest, no one trusts a coward. ??."

Fans resonated strongly with the mother-of-one's candid sentiments, flooding the comments with words of agreement and support. One follower highlighted the authenticity of Palmer's words, stating, "You're literally speaking the truth in this caption, clock it!"

The revealing post comes almost three months after the TV personality addressed her tumultuous relationship with Jackson during an episode of her podcast, "Baby, This Is Keke Palmer."  

The Blast reported that the episode, titled "How to Deal with Abusive Relationships, Boundaries, and Narcissism," featured heartfelt discussions with her mother, Sharon Palmer, and therapist Dr. Drew Pinsky.

She initiated the conversation by reflecting on how her parents' healthy marriage initially shaped her relationship expectations. However, she acknowledged the harsh reality that not every relationship mirrored the harmonious dynamic she witnessed at home. 

"I think I've been really naive because my dad is great and my uncles are great. So misogyny came at me hard and quick, with the quickness," she explained. 

The 30-year-old opened up to Dr. Pinsky about her experiences, touching on topics like narcissism, gaslighting, and the challenges of establishing boundaries. Palmer, who also admitted to having a "boundary problem," emphasized her choice for happiness over the traumatic aspects of her past relationship.

Having moved on from Jackson, the "Nope" actress expressed her contentment with the decision, declaring, "And like you said, as time goes on, I'm like, I'm good. Whatever that was, I'm good."

In a separate development from her podcast disclosure, court documents obtained by The Blast indicated that Palmer's restraining order against her ex-partner was prolonged by an extra six months.

This extension pertained to the temporary restraining order initially issued when Palmer first filed against Jackson in November 2023. A notable aspect of the agreement was the decision to reschedule the hearing on the domestic violence allegations. 

Initially set for January 9, the hearing would now occur later this year, though the reasons for this rescheduling remained unclear. The "True Jackson, VP" alum's initial accusations against the fitness instructor included allegations of physical abuse. 

Palmer detailed disturbing incidents, including one where she asserted Jackson lunged "for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police." 

The "Hustlers" actress also expressed concerns for the safety of their son during a September altercation, stating, "Darius started getting rough with Leo physically, and I stepped in to make sure Darius would not hurt him."

The latest turn in the legal proceedings followed just weeks after Jackson made headlines by filing a restraining order of his own against the mother of his child.
