In an Instagram post captioned, "Think if I make @stevekazee serenade me every night the baby will get his voice??" Dewan, 43, shares the exciting news she's been hiding for months - that baby number three is on the way!

The mom of two, daughter Everly, 10, with ex Channing Tatum, and son Callum, 3, who she shares with Kazee, is now in her second trimester and beginning to "feel alive again." Dewan is excited to see her fiancé with a baby again.

"He's so naturally domestic and nurturing, and he's so loving, and he's funny, and he's really...he's just incredible," she told Romper about Kazee, 48. "It's one of those things where people just have a natural ability for parenting. I'm so excited to see him with a little baby again."

And this time around brings some changes. For one, she's not having this baby during the pandemic when the world was shut down. She gave birth to Callum in March 2020, just weeks after the couple got engaged and the week before lockdown began due to Covid.

"It was wild to be postpartum at the same time as all those changes in the world," she said. "Then also having all that downtime to really next, but then also being afraid."

Six weeks after her daughter's birth, Dewan went back to work on "Witches of East End," so it was a different experience.

"That was hard on me. It was hard to be thrown into call times and still be in the throes of postpartum. It was also my first baby," she said. "It was amazing, but it was really difficult. That's why I was really spoiled with Callum, that whole year to do nothing."

Dewan knows that with two children already and at 43-years-old, her pregnancy and postpartum experience could be totally different this time around.

"I'm not sure the body necessarily gets right back into action the way it did years ago. We'll see," she said. "I'll report back, but I do think there's a bit of ignorance, this dancer in me that just says, 'OK, well, you just get it done.' I've recovered great every time, but I'm open to whatever happens."

After having her third baby, her time off will be partially dependent on whether or not her show, "The Rookie" gets a seventh season.

Some fans of the show commented on her pregnancy announcement video wondering if her character on the show, Bailey Nune, will also be expecting a baby.

As any parents who have split up know, co-parenting can have its challenges. Dewan called co-parenting with ex Tatum, 43, "a journey."

"It's always a journey. It never ends," she told Romper. "You just learn as you go and get better at certain things, and for me, Evie will always be my top priority. I just continually put her first. That's how I can manager all hard things."

The actress also said it was really tough to be away from her daughter after she gave birth to her second child.

"In the beginning, it was really tough," she said. "And it was definitely hard on her in the beginning too, but she's gotten into the flow with that a lot more. But she loves Callum. She really adores him."
