Meri Brown is ready to jump back into the dating pool, and her 53rd birthday may be the perfect place to start making new memories!

The "Sister Wives" star was one of four women romantically tied to the polygamist Kody Brown before leaving him in January 2023. Although she tried reconciling with her ex-husband, it appears the businesswoman is finally over the patriarch and willing to meet someone better.

Meri Brown Teases Birthday Dinner With Mystery Man One Year After Leaving Kody

Meri officially clocks 53 on January 16, an occasion she and her best pal Jenn Sullivan teased over the weekend in a joint social media post. The update featured a list compiled by Sullivan, which housed everything the birthday girl wished to do on her big day.

"OK @therealmeribrown make a wish! Here are ideas based on comments, messages, and recent conversations! What'll it be?" Sullivan's caption read. The top thing Meri wanted from the duo's talks was quality time with a new man, with her number one wish being a "Birthday dinner date with a great guy."

The other wishes ranged from adventurous activities to beauty sessions and traveling to other countries. Meri's birthday list included skydiving, climbing Mount Timpanogos in Utah, ziplining, scuba diving, going on a cruise, visiting Canada, enjoying a spa date, and more.

However, the top of the list caught fans' eyes the most, with many wondering if this was Meri's way of confirming a new romance after her divorce. "I hope number 1 happens for sure!!" someone sweetly commented on the Instagram post, with another agreeing: "Definitely #1, then make most of your list with him."

"How about 3 with 1??" a third suggested, referring to Meri getting a massage with her mystery man before adding: "But I'd recommend ziplining everywhere you can." A fellow supporter of the reality TV star's possible romance advised:

"Number one, and then take the great guy with you on the rest :) And when in Greece, take a trip up to Norway. Happy Birthday."

Meri's 53rd birthday wishes came a month after she linked her broken marriage to the melted ring drama between her and Kody. The Lizzie's Heritage Inn owner was forced to address the ring situation during the December episode of "Sister Wives: One-on-One" special with Sukanya Krishnan.

The businesswoman was visibly upset that former wife Christine Brown chose to tell the story without her consent. Nonetheless, she noted her ex-husband melted their wedding ring because he no longer wanted her to have a claim on him.

In her recollection of the event, Christine revealed the ring incident happened while Kody was preparing to welcome his only remaining wife, Robyn, into their polygamous family. She claimed the patriarch melted the ring but kept the gold and diamond gems.

Additionally, she shared Meri's reaction to the news, "Well, Meri found out, she's like, 'Well, where's my ring? You don't wear it anymore. He's like, 'Oh, I melted it down,' just like that." In response to her non-consensual revelations, the inn owner criticized Christine in her interview, saying:

"She can laugh about it all she wants, but it was not her business to tell. If I wanted to have shared that story in the last 13 years in a public way, I would have done that."

Meri Brown noted the incident was hurtful because she believed it was when her relationship with Kody began crumbling. "Who's to say that he didn't just melt down our whole relationship at that moment? Symbolically, that's what he did to me," she claimed.

Fans Slam Meri For Misdirecting Her Anger At Christine

Following the ring drama, fans weighed in on Meri's response and called her out for criticizing Christine instead of Kody. These disgruntled individuals shared their opinions in the comments section of the 53-year-old's "Friday With Friends" segment on Instagram.

"Misdirecting anger at Christine isn't going to help anything. Everyone in the family at that point was involved in the situation around the ring… even if it was specifically affecting you the most… the person to blame is the person who created that situation at all, and that certainly wasn't Christine," one of the TLC show's viewers penned.

Another echoed similar sentiments, writing, "Christine was asked and was honest. You need to relax and realize Kody is the one you should be mad at. I don't understand your displaced anger. It's odd. I wish you the best; this is nuts!"

"Kody did you dirty, not Christine. Stop protecting him! He is the one who said he never loved you," a third chimed in. More fans agreed that the tension between the former wives was unnecessary and urged Meri to direct her anger at the man responsible for melting her wedding ring.
