Comedian and screenwriter Zarna Garg is blasting ABC's 'The Bachelor' in her latest stand-up act for giving off unrealistic expectations for relationships.

As you know, 'The Bachelor' is an ABC reality show where several women compete to win over a man's heart. Joey Graziadeihas been named the next 'Bachelor' lead and his season will kick off on January 22, 2024.

Ahead of the premiere, Zarna Garg is speaking out in her comedy stand-up act on how the reality show gives off unrealistic expectations when it comes to relationships.

Zarna Garg Mocks 'The Bachelor' In Her Latest Stand-Up Skit

When appearing on a recent episode of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Zarna Garg performed one of her iconic stand-up skits, which blasted 'The Bachelor' and compared reality television to the Kama Sutra.

"They're all chasing after this one guy, The Bachelor, and this guy, he's just a regular guy, he's not a doctor or anything," the comedian began as she explained the premise of the reality show. "And the whole show, this guy is making out, having s--, making out, having s--, with each of these different women."

She then went on to slam the show for giving off unrealistic expectations regarding relationships.

"Because of this show, my kids think that's what a relationship is," going on to tell a story of how her son thought she and her husband were going to get divorced because he "never sees [us] making out."

To which she gave her punchline, "We don't make out because we aren't on TV. You put us on a reality show and pay us, and, we [will] act out the whole Kama Sutra."

For those who do not know, The Kama Sutra is an ancient "Indian Sanskrit text on sexuality, eroticism and emotional fulfillment in life."

The comedian then went on to blast The Kama Sutra, stating, "But the thing about The Kama Sutra; It is true [that] Indian people wrote it, but I can promise you, no Indian man has ever read it."

"It is a lot like the Americans and their Constitution," she said as the audience laughed.

Zarna Garg Talks Being A 'Late Bloomer'

The comedian recently spoke out on how becoming a "late bloomer" taught her to "make the race against the clock your biggest ally."

"Put your blinders on and get to work," she said, per Oprah Daily, adding, "You have no time to lose. This single-minded focus allows you to disregard noise that is not productive, keeping you on track through tempting detours. Companies like McDonald’s, KFC, The RealReal, The Home Depot, and more were started by people over 50!

She added that "many people will underestimate you," but you should use that to your advantage. "Let people believe you have no clue and/or are 'lost.' They’ll ignore you, and that will be a gift. There’s no better luxury than low expectations; everything you do will be impressive," she explained.
