In a recently shared TikTok video, Mama Tot, whose real name is Ophelia Nichols, shared some information about dealing with narcissists, who can be very difficult to handle.

"When a narcissist is backed in a corner, they feel attacked. And prepare for the theatrical moments and all the dramatics of a true narcissist," she began her narcissism talk. "You simply cannot confront a narcissist. That's not gonna happen. They will turn into a flippin' nightmare right there in front of you."

Nichols explained some of the hard-to-deal with traits of a typical narcissist, saying that they "control the narrative" and won't allow anyone to "disrupt that narrative."

"If anybody comes in and tries to disrupt that narrative, it's gonna be a problem," she said. "And they're gonna tell everybody it was you."

She explained that they also don't just let anything go. They'll tell their stories about "what happened to them" and those stories will change over time.

"They will harp on the same mess for as long as they feel like it, which is forever," she continued. "If you have a narcissist and someone that's not a narcissist, it is usually the narcissist that is screaming the loudest, this is being done to them, somebody did this, they're that, they're this, and then the true victim over here usually doesn't say a word."

The viral TikToker further explained that often, the real victim is too afraid to speak up because it will just further entice the narcissist more.

Nichols described narcissists as "emotional manipulators" and explained just what that means.

"They pull on your heart strings. They tell you they're going through this and going through that and they need this. But when they're telling you this, they make sure they're telling you in a time or a place that is beneficial to them," she explained.

Another thing many narcissists do is alienate their entire family because of the trauma they have caused them but will tell you that it was their family that actually did all the terrible things.

"They think they are untouchable," she said. "They love bomb you in relationships. They make you think and feel that you are the only thing for them, and that you have now met your perfect person."

In a video shared a few months ago, Nichols also spoke about the issues of dealing with a narcissist, saying, "narcissists have to narcissist," meaning they must "fuel their narcissism." She described it similar to what a vampire does - feeding off of something.

"They suck the actual life right out of you. They have no empathy. So, don't ever try to explain to a narcissist that they have hurt you in any kind of way," she explained. "They don't give a d---. It is in their DNA not to. It's almost like a psychopath if you ask me."

She then explained the symptoms of narcissism. She said they like to use other people for their own benefit. They also believe that everything about them is "amazing" and that they are "better than everyone else."

"Their goal, always, always, please listen, is to cause chaos and pain in your life, even theirs," she continued. "They're total self sabotagers, and they don't even care to realize that."

Chaos is normal to narcissists because oftentimes, they were brought up in that type of environment and know no other way. She also explained that they cannot be fixed or changed, they alienate everyone in your life, and that healing after a narcissist is a long journey.
