Selena Gomez is hitting a pause on social media and seemingly redirecting her focus toward a new chapter with her boyfriend, Benny Blanco. 

The pop sensation, known for her periodic breaks from social platforms, has been vocal about the detrimental impact of social media, particularly expressing her concerns about its toxicity. 

In a deliberate move, the 31-year-old is looking forward to embracing meaningful moments with Blanco, whom she officially confirmed as her romantic partner towards the close of last year.

On Tuesday, Gomez unveiled her decision by sharing an Instagram Story featuring a heartwarming video of the record producer boyfriend sharing a playful moment with two young children.

Wearing a casual blue hoodie, Blanco reclined on what appeared to be a tennis court, openly accepting joyful kisses from two adorable youngsters who were more than eager to participate.

Accompanied by Gomez's contagious giggles, the actress inscribed a heartfelt message in the bottom left corner of the post that read, "I'm off social for a while. I'm focusing on what really matters."

While this is not the first instance of the former Disney star opting for a social media hiatus, her followers will likely miss the glimpses of her relationship with Blanco that she occasionally shares.

As they await her return, they can reminisce about the heartwarming post she previously shared, capturing herself and her beau enjoying a cozy outing. The couple immersed themselves in the vibrant ambiance of Luna Luna Park, a historical amusement park in Hamburg, Germany, conceptualized by André Heller in the 1970s.

In a series of charming snapshots, Gomez showcased candid moments of their evening at the art exhibit adorned with mesmerizing kaleidoscope mirrors. The images captured the lovebirds in various reflections, sharing warm embraces and genuine laughter. 

The "Wizards of Waverly Place" alum also uploaded a photo of a colorful mural portraying nearly nude women dancing, allowing the pictures to speak for themselves without additional captions.

While discussing the rapid success of her beauty company, the songstress delved into her perspective on social media, attributing it's toxicity to her past relationship with the famous singer.

Gomez reflected on the period following their breakup, acknowledging the negative of the online world on her mental wellbeing. The former power couple, who dominated Hollywood for seven years from 2011 to 2018, faced public scrutiny and intense media attention during their high-profile relationship. 

As the "Only Murders In Building" actress was also recovering from a kidney transplant, the toxicity prevalent on Instagram became overwhelming. "I had just gotten my heart broken. I didn't need to see what everyone was doing," she revealed. 

Opening up about her struggles, she revealed instances of self-doubt induced by social media, confessing, "Then there were those moments of not feeling positive about how I looked because of what I'd see on Instagram. Wow, I wish my body looked like that." 

Driven by these emotions, she opted to step away, entrusting her password to her assistant and disengaging from the platform.

Yet, this break did not protect Gomez from the scrutiny of online trolls. In 2018, unauthorized paparazzi images of the star in a bikini surfaced, sparking derogatory comments about her physique. 

In response, she chose resilience over surrender by sharing a powerful message: "The beauty myth- an obsession with physical perfection that traps modern woman in an endless cycle of hopelessness, self-consciousness, and self-hatred as she tries to fulfill society's impossible definition of flawless beauty.
