As you know, this incident was highly reported in the media, after a video surfaced of the incident. In the video, you can see the man lying on his back -- allegedly after the punching incident -- with Kanye screaming in a rage. In the clip, you can clearly hear a person connected to Kanye trying to diffuse the situation.

At the end of the video, you hear one of the people ask to "call the cops" and law enforcement did investigate the incident. But, a decision was made NOT to charge Kanye with any crime. The L.A. City Attorney's Office said, "After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file based on no reasonable likelihood of conviction." In other words, they didn't have enough for a conviction. To be fair, the punch itself is not on video.

The lawsuit was filed by famous attorney, Gloria Allred, who is representing the couple. The bottom line, it sounds like this one isn't going away quietly.
