Was Selena Gomez & Taylor Swift Really Gossiping About Timothée Chalamet At GGA?

Selena Gomez was spotted chatting with her BFF Taylor Swift during a commercial break at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday, and many began speculating that she was gossiping about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.

And now, those rumors are being addressed.

As you may know, Timothée, who is currently dating Kylie Jenner (the two even shared a kiss at the event on Sunday), became friends with Selena after filming 'A Rainy Day In New York.'

Selena and Kylie's relationship, on the other hand, is a bit rocky as the 'Only Murders In The Building' actress stood up for her BFF, Taylor Swift, amid the Kim Kardashian feud with the pop icon.

A video, which has since gone viral, shows Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and Keleigh Teller whispering and gossiping with one another. Some lip-readers were convinced at one point that Keleigh asked Selena “With Timothée?” to which Selena nodded, visibly annoyed and/or disappointed.

Despite the rumors going around, a source close to Selena Gomez is squashing the gossip, stating that "[Selena] was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie."

The source, who spoke to PEOPLE, added that Gomez "never even saw or spoke to them."

Although the rumors of Selena gossiping about Timothée or Kylie have been squashed, fans are still dying to know what the trio was talking about.

Selena and Taylor have been BFFs for years, first meeting back in 2008 when the duo were dating two of the Jonas Brothers -- Taylor was dating Joe Jonas while Selena was seeing Nick Jonas. Although the two romantic relationships ended, Selena and Taylor have remained close.

After the 2024 Golden Globes, Selena Gomez shared a sweet moment with her BFF, hugging and embracing one another. Selena shared the moment on her Instagram Story as a black and white photo.

In the past, Selena has admitted that Taylor is her go-to girl when it comes to love advice.

"If I ever I have an issue, Taylor has gone through it because she's older than me, and she gives the most thought-out answers," she told Seventeen in 2009, "And what I love about Taylor is that she does believe in the whole love story and Prince Charming and soul mates. Because of her, I haven't lost faith. We literally talk every day."

The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ actress recently went Instagram official with her boyfriend, producer Benny Blanco.

The couple attended the 2024 Golden Globes together, and following the big event, Selena shared a sweet photo of the two kissing, captioning it, “I won."

A source close to Selena commented on her new relationship, stating that "she seems to be really feeling herself at the moment. Maybe that's Benny or maybe that's just where she's at personally and professionally."

"Everyone is so happy that she's happy," the insider added.
