Las Vegas Judge Violently Attacked By Man After Sentencing Him To Prison [VIDEO]

A judge was the victim of an unfortunate circumstance after being attacked by a defendant in a Las Vegas Clark County court.

The shocking incident was captured on camera and the elderly female judge got body slammed by the angry man as she was about to impose his sentence.

Las Vegas Judge Attacked On The Bench By Pissed Defendant

The 5-minute recording began just like any court appearance would. The Defendant, an African-American man identified as Deobra Redden, was standing while his lawyer discussed with District Judge Mary Kay Holthus.

Redden was awaiting sentencing for an attempted battery case.  However, Judge Holthus didn’t seem convinced by the lawyer’s plea for probation and declared, “I appreciate that but I think it’s time he gets a taste of something else because I just can’t with that history.”

Just as she was about to pronounce the sentence, an irate Redden could be heard yelling “F–k that b—h” with sounds of chaos and disruption in the background.

Unfortunately, Judge Holthus didn’t seem aware of what was happening in her court as Redden lunched for her before she could make a move.

The 30-year-old Defendant angrily leaped over the bench to bodyslam the judge who was trying to move away. The sudden attack prompted the court officials as well as the lawyers to come to Holthus’ rescue but Redden refused to let go of her.

It took two hefty men to pull him off the distraught judge as he continued yelling, “F–k her.” However, Redden didn’t stop as he fought to get out of the men’s grips. When he couldn’t reach for the judge anymore.

He began punching one of the security officers and the incident soon devolved into an altercation with the officers fighting back.

According to District Court spokeswoman Mary Ann Price, Holthus “experienced some injuries,” but she is “being monitored.”  A marshal was also injured but was taken to the hospital. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson shared in a statement, “I want to applaud the heroic efforts of her law clerk and marshal who came to her aide. This defendant’s behavior is amazing and unbelievable, and I’m sure he will be facing consequences for his actions.”
