The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has reportedly had enough of being treated to a different set of rules by the monarchy.

Reports have swirled that the former "Suits" actress is "furious" about the situation and doesn't "understand" why things are like that.

It was previously reported that Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, plan to reunite with King Charles III this year.

Markle allegedly feels the royal family has a "different" set of rules for her despite marrying into the monarchy.

From facing media scrutiny over her projects to encountering issues due to her comments about "The Firm," the former "Suits" actor has had a challenging time settling in since marrying Prince Harry.

Per reports, this situation "riles" her up, especially considering her fellow Duchess, Sarah Ferguson, seems to get away with the same things that get her in trouble.

"The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show 'This Morning,' 'Loose Women' and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family," Royal expert and commentator Neil Sean said about the duo.

It comes on the heels of reports that the Duchess of  Sussex "wants to be queen," which supposedly explains her and her husband's desire to rejoin the royal firm, per the New York Post.

According to royal author Tom Bower, Meghan had hoped to do things "her way" when she joined the royal family, but she quickly discovered that the "royal way" was the only way.

She and her husband subsequently departed England for America in 2020, resulting in the loss of most of their royal privileges. Their move to the land of opportunity resulted in the couple securing lucrative deals worth millions of dollars with Netflix and Spotify, although the latter has terminated their contract since then.

Bower went on to claim that Meghan was experiencing regret about the move, as her counterpart, Princess Kate, who is married to Harry's brother Prince William, appears to be the one receiving all the attention.

"Kate is glowing, Kate is successful, Kate is popular — everything that Meghan wanted," Bower added.

Now, it is expected that Harry and Meghan will reunite with Prince Charles sometime this year in a bid to end the long-term feud between their families. The last time the Sussexes saw the King was at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth last September.

The duo is reportedly making the reconciliation move because they know that "they need the King and his blessing far more than the King needs them," as royal author Ingrid Seward stated in her interview with GB News, per the Mirror.

Seward also mentioned that a possible meeting between both parties next year would be an opportunity for King Charles to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, once again.

"Obviously, King Charles wants to see his son and his grandchildren, and last summer, he apparently invited them to Balmoral, which they turned down," Seward told the publication.

News of Harry and Meghan's plans to reunite with King Charles comes after they first reached out to him via a phone call on his 75th birthday. Their warm conversation reportedly marked a "turning point" in their relationship with him and was seen as an initial effort to rebuild ties with the monarch.

Besides Harry and Meghan talking to the King, their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, also sent their birthday wishes to their grandfather. They did so through a pre-recorded video where they were seen singing "Happy Birthday."

Harry and Meghan were absent from the royal festivities despite reaching out to the monarch. At the time, it was claimed that the duo had yet to receive an invitation from The Firm.

For their proposed visit, it is still being determined when that would happen. However, past reports have suggested that it could take place at the King's home in Scotland, without the presence of Harry's brother, Prince Williams.
