George Michael's partner of several years, Fadi Fawaz, posted an emotional tribute he wrote for the late singer on Christmas morning.

Fawaz's tribute -- a poem titled "Merry Christmas" -- marks one year since he discovered Michael's body in bed on Christmas day.

"I will always miss you / Till the day I meet you," the poem begins.

Fawaz and Michael's had been in a relationship since 2009, and he writes, "Your love they don't know / My love stays home / Blame and I alone."

Michael died from heart failure and was laid to rest earlier this year in London's Highgate Cemetery next to his mother, Lesley.

The singer's grave is still without a headstone roughly nine months since his burial, it's unclear who is responsible for handling those arrangements.
