Tori Spelling Shares Update On Son Liam's Recovery After Foot Surgery

Liam Aaron McDermott, the oldest of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's children, is progressively healing from his foot surgery.

The teenager's mother proudly shared his health update on her social media platform, showing fans how well her son is doing. Although she never shared what caused the 16-year-old's injury, the doting mother continues showing her supportive side along with her other children's well wishes for their older brother.

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star's latest Instagram Story posts featured sweet moments with her family. The first picture captured her oldest son's legs with his injured foot wrapped securely in a black cast.

Spelling highlighted the significance of the leg brace in the overlay text, writing, "Sutures out from his foot surgery and 2nd cast on…@liammcdermott." Her words proved the teenager's recovery is proceeding smoothly, a milestone his siblings celebrated with a traditional gesture.

It is no secret that loved ones support those wearing casts by adorning the hard outer layer with their names and well wishes. The Spelling-McDermott children are no different, as seen in their mother's video on her IG Story.

The clip showed the youngest of the family, Beau, lying on a white linen bed by Liam's injured foot. The black cast, which initially had nothing scribbled on it in the first post, now held the first daughter's name, "Stella," written in white ink and decorated with a heart.

While Stella flaunted impressive penmanship, the same could not be said for little Beau, who struggled to write her name across her brother's cast. The adorable angel looked proud of her work in a different post, smiling brightly for the camera as she posed by Liam's foot in her pajamas.

"Cutie," Spelling captioned the picture alongside her children's social media accounts. As stated, the mother of five never specified what happened to her son's foot, but his recovery update comes days after she cheered him on before his surgery.

The TV personality shared a picture of Liam in a hospital bed with a white sheet covering him. The teenager had a stoic expression, with his eyes directed away from the camera while he received an IV infusion through his arm.

Spelling confessed her son's surgery made her anxious, writing: "My 1st baby waiting to go into foot surgery. Not sure who's more nervous, him or mama."

She added a supportive note at the bottom, praising Liam for taking the moment like a champ with the words: "Proud of your bravery @liammcdermott. And things can only get better after this!"

Days after announcing Liam's foot surgery, Spelling shocked fans by going Christmas shopping with a mystery man. This festive season marked the actress's first Christmas since splitting from her estranged husband, Dean McDermott.

While she did not have her former beau for the holiday, the "Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?" star might have a new man filling her ex's shoes. On December 22, she was spotted shopping for the merry event at the Westfield Topanga Mall in the Los Angeles Canoga Park area, accompanied by an unidentified man.

For the occasion, Spelling flaunted her new slender figure in shiny vinyl black leggings and a green holiday sweatshirt with "Naughty Kinda Nice" written on it. Meanwhile, her companion rocked a scruffy beard with gray strands and donned a brown tie-dyed hoodie over distressed gray jeans with sneakers. 

The duo shared a moment outside the Pinstripe restaurant before leaving to find their car and eventually jetted off in a Tesla with the mystery man behind the wheel. Although Spelling was not photographed carrying any packages, she announced her Christmas shopping had begun on Instagram, writing:

"It's December 22 and I officially bought my first gift for Christmas. 5 Christmas lists to tackle. 3 days to do. Missed the @amazon prime cut off. Now I have to brave the mall alone. Crushing this single mom Christmas 2023."

While Spelling described herself as a "single mom" for Christmas, it is not her first holiday away from McDermott. The former couple did not spend Thanksgiving as a family, with the patriarch announcing his plans to enjoy the event with pals at the Freedom House, a sober living facility.
