Britney Spears May Reconcile With Sister Jamie Lynn Spears Over Christmas

It looks like pop star Britney Spears is open to repairing her relationship with her estranged sister Jamie Lynn Spears after years of estrangement.

The Princess of Pop is said to have no interest in repairing her relationship with her father, Jamie Spears, even though he had his leg amputated earlier this year amid failing health.

She has, however, been working to make amends with her mother, Lynne Spears, and her brother, Bryan Spears, who attended her 42nd birthday party earlier this month.

It has been reported that the '"Toxic" singer is looking forward to repairing her relationship with her family amid her divorce from actor Sam Asghari, who she has been with since 2016 after they met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016.

The two became engaged in September 2021, two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, and the two tied the knot in June 2022. However, reports of trouble surfaced almost immediately and the 29-year-old actor filed for divorce from the 42-year-old pop star citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

Only a few days before the Christmas holiday, sources told the U.S. Sun that the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer is open to repairing her relationship with her younger sister after watching the "Zoey 101" star compete on the British reality series "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" Jamie Lynn visibly struggled during her time in the camp and was eventually forced to leave the show citing a medical reason for her exit.

“Britney was supportive of her sis going into the jungle and maintained interest while Jamie Lynn was in Oz. A lot of water has passed under that bridge — and given it is Christmas, Britney is keen to try and put some of their past issues to bed,” the source said, referring to Jamie Lynn’s time on “I’m A Celebrity!”

“On the few occasions when Jamie Lynn spoke about Britney in Australia, it was all positive. They are sisters at the end of the day, and even though they’ve had their fair share of run-ins, it is time to see if they can finally put the past behind them,” they continued. “Britney spent time with her mum in the summer and now she’d like to see if she could do the same with Jamie Lynn. It’s baby steps but it all seems positive.”

During one episode, the 32-year-old actress told Radio DJ Sam Thompson that her older sister would “be worried” about her competing in the Australian outback.

“I think she’s probably checking in on me heavily,” Jamie Lynn said. “I do think she’s probably like, ‘Why would she do that?’ She asked me that before I came here, she was like, ‘You’re really going to do it?’ I was like, ‘I’m going to go to Australia and check it out.’”

“She’d probably be like, ‘Ya’ll get her the f— out of there, right now!’” she joked, going on to call the “Gimme More” singer a “good big sister.”

“I love her. Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, family’s fight. Listen, we just do it better than most,” Jamie Lynn confessed, adding, “Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing.”

“We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways. Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have,” she continued. “I’ve been the one person in her life — and she can say this — I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, ‘I just want to be your sister.’ ”

“We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them,” she added.
