Charlie Sheen's Neighbor Arrested For Abuse

Sheen experienced a neighborly dispute at his Los Angeles home when a 47-year-old woman, his neighbor, allegedly forced her way into his residence. According to law enforcement, she attacked Sheen upon him, opening the door after hearing a knock.

The neighbor is said to have allegedly ripped his shirt and attempted to choke him during the dispute. The woman, not named, then returned to her house, where she was later arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.

Sheen called 911, and officers and paramedics responded, but he was not taken to the hospital. While the cause of the alleged altercation remains unclear, sources close to the actor disclosed to TMZ that this was not his first incident involving the neighbor.

The woman also allegedly dumped trash in front of the 58-year-old's door a day before the attack, leading him to call 911.

The recent unsavory situation comes on the heels of Sheen's childhood friend, Tony Todd, marking the sixth anniversary of the performer's sobriety. He expressed his pride for the Hollywood legend, congratulating him on his sobriety milestone, adding:

"You made the decision to change your life one day at a time six years ago today. I am so proud of you. Happy Sobriety Day!"

In case you missed it, the Golden Globe winner's decision to stop drinking alcohol was due to an incident with his daughter, whom he shares with ex-wife Denise Richards. As he recalled during a previous interview:

"One morning I'd forgotten my daughter had an appointment I'd promised to drive her to, and I'd already had a couple of pops that day So [I] had to call my friend Tony to take us."

He continued, "We got her there on time, but it broke my heart because she was in the backseat and I could just tell she was thinking, 'Why isn't dad driving?' So I got home and sat with that for the rest of the day. And the next morning I just stopped."

Reflecting on his sobriety journey, he mentioned that he decided to give it a month to see if he felt better and if his interactions with close ones improved. "And they did. And I'm like, all right, I'm going to go another month. And then it got traction. I had momentum," Sheen further explained.

Last month, it was the "Young Guns" star's ex-wife who was on the hot seat about his addictions. According to PEOPLE, Richards opened up about her being "incredibly naive" when it came to the megastar's alcohol addiction.

She asserted that when she met Sheen, he had been "sober for four years," and she did not entertain concerns about a potential relapse despite inquiries from others about his sobriety. The "Drop Dead Gorgeous" actress shared:

"For me, it was no question. "I said, 'No,' I didn't know that person. I only knew who I met. And that was a man who had been sober for four years. I didn't judge him for his past because I figured, well, his past made him who he is today. And the person that I met was very different from the person that spiraled…"

Richards admitted that even though many commended her for transforming the "bad boy," she would not have been with Sheen if she had met him during his addiction. She emphasized that he was "sober and a completely different person" when they initially crossed paths.

When asked if being with someone sober was ever "boring," the mother of two stated, "It wasn't boring. I wasn't a partier. I wasn't thinking, 'Oh, shoot. I just started dating Charlie Sheen, and I just read all these crazy stories about him, and how come we're not doing [those things]?"
