Sherri realized very early on in her son's fashion journey that he had an amazing talent. From the very first dress, she said, "There was something special happening."

Since realizing he has a talent and desire to be a fashion designer, his family has supported him every step of the way.

"We got him sewing lessons and try to help however we can to support his dreams," she told The Blast exclusively. "He wanted a show after six months of designing, so we hosted one in our backyard. He needed more space to work so we converted an attic space to a sewing studio. We try to be creative with solutions that are reasonable."

Sherri makes sure that being a young fashion designer isn't the only focus for Max being that he is just 7 years old. She said he goes to school and loves to do lots of other fun things.

"He sews mostly on Saturdays and sometimes a few minutes at night. Sundays are usually for family and friends' time," she said. "Max also loves doing a lot of other things like going to the beach, swimming, tennis, skiing, cooking, and science experiments."

And while the family is super proud of Max and his accomplishments, one specific thing really stands out for Sherri.

"The thing that makes us the most proud is that Max truly designs to make other people happy," she said. "He has to charge for his designs in order to pay for his materials, but he donates a large majority of any profit to various charities. His first thought when he sells a dress is always, 'Now I can help!' He is a good human and it's amazing to watch his story unfold."

Another exciting part of the journey is watching all the great opportunities that have been coming his way and witnessing his dreams "coming to life."

"Watching him at his first runway show, working with the models, and seeing his designs come to life was very exciting for all of us," she added.
